anime id help needed......

Post by DevoVamp »

Hey, guys! I was wondering if you could help me with the name of an anime I've been watching. I can't seem to catch the name, so if anyone could give me the title (and maybe somewhere I can download some sub-titled episodes) I'd be very grateful. Here's as much of a description as I can manage:

It comes on Tuesday at 7 pm, right before Bleach, and on the same station.

The main character has white/blue hair, has a black outfit trimmed in red, but a blue and white samurai/kimono type thing on the left shoulder, and it hangs from left to right. He also carries around a (looks like) wooden sword. His "buddies" are a younger girl with red hair who wears a red mandarin style dress (high collar) trimmed in gold, and carries a puruple umbrella. She has a EXTREMELY large white dog, bigger than she is, that acts like a puppy. His favorite thing to do is stand behind the guy with the white hair, but his paws on the guy's shoulder and put his chin (and teeth) on top of the guy's head. He must use his teeth since a moment later you see a bit of blood running down from the guy's hair and between his eyes. There's also a boy with dark hair and round glasses who hangs out with them.

Another character seems to be a type of shinto priest or something, and he has long, straight dark hair and has a "pet" that is this wide eyed, starring this that looks something like a huge duck. ONLY it looks more like somebody in a costume to me. It doesn't make any sound that I've heard.

The bad guys (I think) look rather a lot like Mustang et al. from Full Metal Alchemist. Even the uniforms are very similar. It's set in what looks like old Japan, but there are also taxi cabs and vespas and what not.

If I remember right, the intro theme is by a band called "every little thing". I can't remember the name of the band that does the end theme, but the song is called "Mr. Raindrop".

"Mr. Raindrop, falling away from me now".

I haven't managed to catch any names, although I thought I heard something like "Sage" at one point, so I'm not sure if that's the name of the show or what. Can anybody tell me what it's called or anything else about the show? I've watched a few episodes now, and I really like it. It's cute and really funny.

It sounds like Gintama:

Someone here was watching Gintama, but I don't remember who it was. I only seen the first episode raw so I can't say much about it. Sorry. :shrug

Yep! That's the one for sure!!! Thanks Keropi!!!! Wondering what it's called has been driving me batty!! As if that weren't enough, I'm working 12 days in a row with no break at the end of this month and into the start of Aug. Then I get one day off and then work another 6 before I go back to my normal 2 days off.

Aa, but the overtime $$$!!! Think of the cels I can buy and the places I can go....! LOL! :D :D :D

Thanks again, Keropi! Now I can see if there's a fan subed version of Gintama!
