I'm on GK's side. I've always hated Peewee Herman. But luckily with all the anime piling up at home for me to watch, I'm finding myself in front of my computer more than in front of my tv when I'm at home. (YUP! Only 120 more episodes of Naruto to make it up to date. ) Too bad my internet's cable or I could have cut a bill.
Okay! I'm sorry I know this because I'm not a fan of this show either. But in my own defensive, I've only recently seen a few episodes. Now maybe if I saw it as a kid . . . What you ask? Well, Banana Splits airs on Boomerang if anyone here gets that channel and wants to relive their childhood.
i'm with the starters of this thread as well... i did watch it as a kid, but can't stand the fact it's on AS now, i'm pretty much as annoyed seeing this as i was with saved by the bell. i'm actually kinda glad anymore that i only have thet basic of basics for cable (but only b/c bunny ears won't get me anything on my TV >_>) i would be happier seeing reruns of about anything, but i still say that they should show some UNedited Outlaw Star... the hackjob editing they did for that show was just depressing.... honestly changing the "Scumbag to cheeseball" - i say let the masses see the 'forbidden' episode 23 - Hot Springs of Planet Tenrei.
As with the starters, I hate this show I remember babysitting and having to watch it. It drove me nuts then. After it I am really not a fan of PeeWee and I became even less after the notorious theater incident.
Most Bishies are eyecandy therefore they must all be attractive for the females. One Problem though Can we have MORE LEGAL eyecandy??
Pervs in training like the new material

Pee Wee RULES!!!!
“If you love so much, why don’t you marry it? …”
I like Pee Wee’s Playhouse. The show was like a MAD Magazine version of “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood” and I consider it to be a predecessor of smart-ass animated shows like Eek the Cat, or the more popular Simpsons, and South Park.
i was kinda shocked they would bring it back especially since the guy that played Pee-wee was arrested for indecent exposure in a "porn movie theater" lol.
but the show does bring back memories of a Laurence fishburne as cowboy curtis...

I admit that I wish they would put in an old CARTOON (like, say, Jem, or Rainbow Brite) instead of old live action stuff.
But I can't hate Pee Wee. I loved that show when I was a kid. That man got me to eat a banana (and if you knew me, you would know that I hate the things with a yellow passion). To this day I still sing "Connect the dots"
I haven't been watching, though, simply because my dad has all the episodes on DVD, and I watched every single episode around Christmas of last year. I didn't realize there were so many subtle adult jokes in there. I was just like "O_O!"
aside from pee wee himself, i think the show is amazing in terms of the traditional animation and stop motion animation (the "cartoon king" shorts; "penny", etc.). i'd give it another look. it used to scare me too when i was little, but nevertheless, i was always intrigued. i'm glad it's back. it was ahead of it's time.
While I'm not too fond of the Pee-wee's Playhouse being shown on CN.
You must see the HBO recorded shows:
The Pee-Wee Herman Show - Live at the Roxy Theater
"This version of the show features Pee-wee's playhouse and many of the characters of the later series, but with adult and sexual overtones and jokes including "mirror shoes" and others." from the review.
When they first announced they were going to show the Pee-wee show, I thought they would be these episodes. Come on, it's Adult Swim why not the adult version of the Playhouse!
If you can, rent them anyway it is/was awesome!
