LARGE Miyuki-chan in Wonderland update!

Post by ReiTheJelly »

This is probably the most important Miyuki-chan update I'll have all year.

I managed to get myself ORIGINAL storyboards for the first OVA.

Yep, you heard me. After the first set that sold for an incredible price on Yahoo Japan, I despaired at ever finding more. I mean, how often do originals show up for sale from ANY series, much less a 2 episode CLAMP OVA?!

Amazingly enough, these correction storyboards showed up about a month or two later. And apparently nobody else noticed, since I was the only bidder. Lucky me!

So yeah. This update represents about FOURTEEN HOURS worth of work. Enjoy.

Oh, and I also updated my Saiyuki section about a week ago. One more very cute addition there, if you're interested.

Super!

It's like a dream come true.

What I would do to get storyboards of some of my favorite series...

Definitely worth your hard work... I'm still looking at them!!

p.s. I Like looking at storyboards and seeing what was changed... Have you found anything different from the actual ova?

Congratulations,

Any original storyboards are worth the time and effort that went into getting them. I remember that first set going around and thought that would be the end of any further materials, but there you go... a second set.

Graymouser: Thank you! :)

Vapalla: Thanks so much for taking the time to look through a lot of the scans. I was worried that with 68 sheets, people would just give them a cursory glance. Are you going to Katsucon in February? I'll probably bring a few of the sheets with me if I attend. They really are intriguing to look at.

RoboFlonne: It really was like a dream come true! No, there are not any differences that I noticed. These appear to be the final corrections. The set that Acetate Addiction owns are the 1st draft that was sold before this set appeared. I'm impatiently waiting for them to show their set! :^^:

Rallihir: I know - who would have ever thought that a second set would come up for sale? Now if only the Mirrorland set would appear...but I doubt it, since it's shown in the character guide book...

Left feedback on RS, as well, but just wanted to say that I appreciate the effort you put into displaying the storyboards -- I like all the 'commentaries' and the links to the other galleries. Makes it more fun -- and informative -- to browse thru :P

An absolutely Gorgeous find and a beautiful addition to a wonderful Miyuki-chan gallery

Congrats again!! *some dancing bananas for you* :dban :dban :dban :dban :dban :bubbles :bubbles
*what the heck, threw in a couple of dancing gorillas....somebody's got to eat all those bananas!!

Those are great! Thanks for going through all the trouble to share those with us. There's something special about having pieces of the creative process to a show you love. :)

Tabbykitty: I'm just happy to share these storyboards with other Miyuki-chan fans. :D

samiamew: Thanks - I got your e-mail! I believe you're the first person who has used the gorillas in conjunction with the bananas... :)

syan: It was great seeing you at AX. I'm glad you enjoyed the storyboards. They're much more interesting in person, no?

frozentime: It is very exciting having different aspects of the creative process. It's also really fun to pick out individual cels that are featured on the storyboards! :^^:

A decent haul of pre-prod artwork, Rei, getting the originals is fantastic!

I'm impressed with the quality of these drawings, most storyboards I've seen/own are lame stick figures but the artist(s) working on this put effort into these.

I didn't know it was made by Studio Madhouse either... cool.
