Yes, it's an original story board painting by the famous concept artist Don Duga.

I've got 7 others in my gallery. One of them (*The love tree*) was actually published in the book called "The Enchanted World of Rankin Bass".

I'll be keeping 6 of them to have framed...

Take a peek at my gallery if you get the chance. They're all posted there! Also, if you haven't been to http://www.Ryen.net you should go, there's another stunning story board from the same artist... of the Unicorn tapestry!

In the movie you can see that very reflection that looks like a unicorn...always liked that part when I was a little girl! I would shout out at my mom so that she would notice as well (probably like 5 billion times so I assume she got irritated with me!). TLU ROCKS! Congrats on the awesome selling price on that storyboard Harry!

Thanks Bri! :D

Yes... the Story Boards are so sweet! With my little bungalow that I just bought, I know I won't have the wall space to have them all framed. So I'm keeping 6.

So I parted with that one... then I went ahead and listed another onto Ebay. This one is of "Lady Almathea" releasing the Dove from Haggard's castle tower. I just LOVE the water colors in this pic.

Hopefully it will find a good home!

I remember seeing that scene in the movie and freaking out that he was riding a unicorn..So I looked closer and to me it looks like the lance that hes holding up. hes holding up just right to make the water image look like a unicorn. But i could be wrong

Yep

Yep... it's the lance... but if you notice, the whole painting and scene is all about the shadow. It's larger than life! and the rest of the painting just circles around it!

Just thought it was something cool to point out! :P

Right now I've got my final "The Last Unicorn" story board painting up on Ebay. It's the only one that actually has a title for the painting "---Dove Flys Free---". Guess Don Duga really liked this one! It's stunning in real life! I just LOVE the water colors in it. Really gorgeous in person! The only reason why I'm selling this one is the fact of buying the new house... Also, I've got 6 more The Last Unicorn story board paintings that I'm going to have framed for my walls! So this one gets to find another home.
