The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Devo, that is terrible news. Your father is a very brave person and I wish him
the best. Losing a loved one to cancer is a very tough thing. Just stick by
him and make everything as comfortable as possible for him. He'll appreciate
that most of all. Take care and good luck. I wish I had something more of
substance to say here. I've been in your situation before and nothing can
really help or fix it. You just have to live thru it.
Spend as much time as you can and please don't be afraid to talk about anything with him.
I say this because I didn't discuss "wishes" with my mother and then had to make decisions myself as to what she would have wanted.
and try to give him the things he wants in order to make him happy... if he wants to eat chocolate mixed with corn go ahead and ask him if he wants the chocolate melted on top or on a different dish. Stuff like this would make him happy.
I'm very sorry about your dad DV. My grandmother is sorta going thru the same thing. Doctors have been telling us for almost two years now that she doesn't have long to live due to cancer in her lungs and only about 10% of her lungs are functional but she has hung on this long!
I'll keep him, you and the rest of your family in my prayers. *Hug*
