Fruits Basket Maquettes

Post by Tabbykitty »

Just an fyi, since I saw this in previews today...

Fruits Basket Maquettes are coming! If you are a big statue geek like me, you will understand my excitement :) It looks as if each is 5.6-6 inches tall, and made of polyresin (not icky cheapo pvc). And first up is...

Tohru and Kyo-they are scheduled out at the end of this month. To be followed by:

Shigure and Yuki-due at the end of september. And then...

Momiji and Hatsuharu! Towards december it looks like.

I really wish more anime statues would make it over here. I hate pvc, and generally go out of my way to avoid it, no matter how cool it may look.

Wow that's really cool. I don't collect things that take up desk space or require dusting, but I might just have to change my ways.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are a bit on the pricey side though, so maybe I'll use that as my excuse not to buy them (so i can afford more sketches).

Yuki and Shigure are listed as $39.99 each in Previews. I can provide a scan of the page if anyone would like to see it.

Previews has a website ( http://previews.diamondcomics.com/ ), but they only have a few examples of what's offered in the catalogue.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
