Any Hyde fans out there?

Post by Rekka Alexiel »

So, I just went to the Nagoya concert tonight and I really, really enjoyed it, even though I went alone (all of my friends were busy--AND I HAD A FREE TICKET!! ...it went unused...). I've liked L'arc for a long time and although I like their stuff, I almost like Hyde's music better. I like his style, his very dark and angsty feel to his lyrics and melodies. It's great. ^^;

But anyway, wow, it's been a LONG time since I've been to a concert like this. I forgot how freaking LOUD they are. This one especially. The sound crew couldn't get the right balance between Hyde's vocals and the BG guitars & whatnot. For the first couple songs, you could hardly tell that Hyde was singing at all. I mean, sure, I like the music, but damn, I wanna hear him SING, too. ^^;; Then every now and then, I got the feeling that Hyde was having trouble hearing the music himself. haha I felt he was getting a bit off-key and he'd raise his hand to touch the earphone... If anyone's performed on stage, you'd now how really DIFFICULT it is to hear yourself enough to stay on key! I can just imagine how much more difficult that would be when you're fighting against those loud guitars, etc. But then again, live performances are always like that, eh? CDs are a little too perfect.

I knew all the songs he sang, save for one... and I want to find out what song that was...because I thought I had all of his stuff. ^^;; Must not leave anything out!!!

I stayed a little bit after the concert to buy some goodies, too. Got a neat black tanktop (the signs said "tunktops" heehee) and a typical Tee with some funky logo on it. I looked online and none of this stuff is available from his HYDEIST site. Unusual, but maybe they want the tour goods to be special for those who actually go to the concerts? Dunno. I kinda wish I brought more money. I would have bought a wristband too...for only 800Y. I had just enough for these two shirts, though. ^^;;

But wow, really enjoyed the concert! Love Hyde's stuff and it was cool to see him. I had pretty decent seats; I was in the stands, facing the stage pretty much head-on. That happened COMPLETELY by luck, since I bought the tickets through Sunday Folk, the online place that was hosting the concert tickets. You didn't didn't have a choice of where your seats were, at least I couldn't select anything by the time I bought the tickets... Anyway, here's a little pic of the stage I took with my phone. It was really dark and you can't see much but bahhh. Something to remember the concert by! lol The four little lights surrounding the stage was fire. They lit more things of fire for one of the other songs later in the concert. Very cool light design.

So if anyone is a Hyde fan and you get the chance to go to one of his concerts, GO! NO IF/BUTs ABOUT IT!!! You won't regret it!!

Ah you're so lucky~! Was it for his FAITH album or Laruku?

Heehee you're so brave snapping that pic! I snuck my camera into the concert I want to, but I was too nervous to take any pictures. :x I also noticed he sometimes sang off-key in the beginning, but I've heard that's just the way he is a lot of the time. :P (Not really a live-performance kind of guy.) But as long as he's still uber-cute and energetic, who cares. :D

Yeah, it was for his Faith album. It was great! And you're probably right--he probably takes a little bit to get into the show... He did sing much better as the concert went on. heh and YEAH. CUTE holy crap. haha There were a couple moments between songs when he'd just talk... and one time he was mentioning how much he was sweating... and he assured everyone that it wasn't a good thing (heh, sweaty boys are cute, aren't they!?). He was like, "It stinks." haha funny

But anyway, I know! I didn't bring my digicam because they normally will take them away. The pic I took was from my camera, and it wasn't the better of the two that I took. I'll see if I can post the other sometime. You can see all the arena stands better in the other pic.

And *BIGGIANTHUGS* to another Hyde fan!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread...but I couldn't help it. Have to share this news for any other fans out there.

Yesterday, I attended my first VAMPADDICT fanclub event at Zepp Nagoya. For whatever reason, I was thinking it was going to be a concert but it was more like a live talk show than anything else. Both Hyde & K.A.Z. were asked a bunch of questions that were taken from a questionnaire that we all filled out ahead of time; they did a cute drawing game; gave us a VAMPS trivia quiz... and then they performed Sweet Dreams & Evanescent acoustic versions (the Sweat Dreams-acoustic is on the new single, but there is no CD recording for Evanescent acoustic! so it was a real treat!)....

...and then at the very end everyone was able to shake their hands. I still get hot just thinking about it. ^_^ I totally wasn't expecting something like that, although I'm very glad that it happened. So, I was thinking about what to say...and I figured I was going to say something about how good of a guitar player K.A.Z. is but when I got to him, I totally went blank and couldn't say anything...mostly because all of my energy was directed toward Hyde who was after K.A.Z... So I got to Hyde and forced myself to say something, but still I didn't know what to say... I ended up saying something stupid like "I've been a fan of yours for a long time..." and he smiled sooooo cute and said "Thank you so much". Really sweet smile; it was genuine.

I'm so thankful that these guys would take the time to have a special event like this for their fans. I think that any artist ought to do something nice for their fans like this.

I really doubt ANYTHING better than this will ever happen again...so I'm totally going to enjoy the moment. haha

They also took a commemorative photo at the beginning of the event so they could hand out photos at the end of the event... They took 5 pictures and the one they decided to make is the one where I was making a silly face. I'm totally puny in the BG but still...you can tell I'm making a funny face. lol Oh well! IT WAS A BLAST!! I'm sooooo happy to have been in the fanclub!! *joy*
