Laura has a lot of love for her collection and it shows. I thoroughly enjoy her
puddles theme (complete with special thumbnails!) and humorous descriptions.
I also really like how she arranges her cels and how promptly she scans
new additions (wish I had half that ambition :ZzZz: ) She has quirky taste
when it comes to odd cels and I really dig that.
thanks for the love toni, and krafty :) its nice to know that the hard work I put into my gallery is appreciated. :friends:

I would love to make a list of my favorite galleries... but I'm so afrad to leave some people out... I love so many galleries.

Awww, Ryan Image You're so sweet.

I don't really think my gallery appeals to anyone, so it's a very pleasant
surprise to see people mention my collection in this thread.

I'm so flattered, I hardly know what to say Image

YEAH! You have a decent collection, Joost and I know many of us visit- especially when you have a new update.

Thankyou to everyone who's cited BB Anime Art as one of their faves, I appreciate the support. It's especially interesting to know since my collection focuses largely on niche series.

You know you have a visually appealing and exciting site, Toni. You deserve the praise you get. So there.

Transm(e)t, his page has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, but he will always be renowned in my mind for the most stunning collection of Big O setups essentially ever. A magnificent testament to a truly difficult series to collect.
*Sniff*..... I'm very honored - many thanx...:bow2:

The 3 sites that got me into this....*ahem*.... hobby were:

The Startyde, of course...

E - Hyper - Future - Vision, and I still visit!

and Septalrage, which always helps me release my inner rage!

I also often frequent Shadowlight, Shellie's Gallery, Doghouse Dave (my nemesis..kinda :P),
Iacon City, BlueBlade, Marzcelection, Tokyoanime :l, Skorp, as well as many, many others....

Btw NSP, don't despair - I'm always watching for your updates (especially when it's Eva ).

Many of these have already been mentioned, but I'd like to mention a few. You'll note a pretty heavy CLAMP bias.

Vapalla's Cels. This is my most frequently visited resources, and it combines great taste, amazing depth, and concise, informative annotations. Vapalla has also been a good personal friend, and her advice has been instrumental in developing my own collecting tastes of late.

Stem Cels, one of the very best Miyuki-chan and CCS collections and rapidly becoming better and better.

Rallihir’s Cel Gallery. Prepare to be amazed, stunned, and awed by some of the finest hankens in American Hands. The Louvre of CLAMP collections.

Drakonia's Cel Lair. One of my early inspirations, again with great depth and lovely choices from all the series she collects.

The Zone, Tex-chan's home gallery (excerpted in her RS Geckoblue gallery). Very impressive stuff, extraordinary annotations, a great resource, especially for Saiyuki, a series that her pan gengas turned me on to.

CHX. Uende has always stunned me with her artistic abilities, both her own, her gallery design, and the cels she's collected. I hope that she can remain with us at least for a while.

Palace of the Sun, Castle of the Moon, Stargarde's private gallery and one of the most loving collections of Yukito/Yue/Kero cels I've ever seen. Another of my early inspirations.

Mentioned many times, but once more: BlueBlade Anime Art, one of the most diverse and best curated collections anywhere.

Finally, Baakay's Anime Cels, carefully designed, lovingly curated, often funny, always entertaining.

Let me also mention The Snake's Den, Snakeskii's wonderful collection which is currently unavailable (I hope because of a wonderful impending update!) Snakey is one of the most generous collectors I've ever met, the first who was willing to collaborate with me on auctions and arrange a personal show'n'drool meeting (with her brother, the medieval swordplay reenactor, who stood guard over her chastity the whole time).

Golly, with so many really fine collections out there, it's a wonder that anyone comes to my gallery. But some people must wander in from time to time: I'm slowly getting closer and closer to 30,000 hits ...

This is really hard. I feel I must limit myself to five galleries, because otherwise I'll never stop. I appreciate everyone's galleries so much, and they inspire me to want to continue collecting. Here are my five(and if your gallery is not listed here, please forgive me. It was nothing personal)...

Hotice's Gallery - http://puddle.rubberslug.com/ I don't mind saying that my Outlaw Star gallery was a source of pride for me while I had it. However, she has taken the torch and run with it farther than I ever did. Some of the best Hilda cels I have ever seen, as well as so many other great series. Such a great gallery in such a short amount of time.

Joe's Gallery - http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp Joe is such a cool person, and his affinity for comic artwork is what draws me to this gallery. Considering that he has only been able to post a fraction of his collection due to size restrictions, I wish I could visit his home and see the rest. His cels are just the icing on the cake. One of the finest AMG collections hands down.

Startyde - http://startyde.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp Jon has come so far in so short a time that it is mind boggling. No other Mezzo Forte collection is as fun to look at IMO. His WW collection is to die for. What is truly amazing is that, with the size of his collection, quality does not suffer.

Golden Boy - http://home.earthlink.net/~marzcelection/ I've admired Lemar's gallery for so long now. I am glad that, when I sold my precious Gene Starwind cel, he was the one who stepped up and bought it. He and I have the same eye for cels in regards to a few shows, and he is very good at spotting real quality stuff that most folks would miss out on. And to top it off, he is cooler than the other side of the pillow.

Shampoo's Gallery - http://shampoo.rubberslug.com/ Like some of the others on this list, Marie has done a great deal in a short amount of time with regards to Naruto. While she is a veteran collector of Ranma, it is her Naruto(particularly Kiba) collection that blows away the competition. It really is beautiful to look at, and there are no cels of minor quality that I can see.

As for everyone else, you should all be proud of that galleries you own. Big or small. Expensive or not. Your cels are a representation of you. And you should be proud that you are preserving a piece of history that otherwise would have ended up in a landfill.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

I don't know how I missed this... many appologies for not saying this stuff sooner. but wow... I don't know the words to say. I totally respect your gallery, you as a collector, as well as your knowledge of Outlaw Star... and hearing such things from you truly does mean a lot to me. I'm not sure what else to say, but thank you.

I can't believe how late I am in replying to this thread! Each time I thought I would sit down and write a post here ... something came up to call me away from the computer. It's been "one of those kinds of weeks" -- for a while now. *sigh*

Anyhow, I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to Welcome Consumer, Gonzai, Zetsuai, and RalphVBoy for mentioning my gallery! I really did not expect to be mentioned at all, and was very flattered to realize that some folks visit on a regular basis. Thank you all so much! And, another thank you to the folks who have one or both of my galleries linked on their RS links pages. It was really wonderful to find out that some of you guys find my galleries "linkable" -- especially since I admire all of your collections so much!

As for my own "favorite" galleries to visit ... I also have a very long list of links on my RS site of galleries I visit on a regular basis -- although it's in need of updating. *sigh* I'm working on developing a links page for my main site, too, but that project has rather gotten sidetracked. But, a few that have become particular favorites:

Gonzai's Cel Gallery (no longer public)
Forever Dreaming
Quinta Essentia
Dreamy Anime
CHX
Sensei's Anime Gallery
Paper or Plastic?
Welcome Consumer
Shellie's Cels
Aernath's Heartthrobs
Titania's Bower
Excelation: A Cel Gallery
Vapalla's Cels
Cel-F Indulgence
Byce!
Cel Envy
Anime Jewell
RalphVBoy's Cel Paradise

Each of these galleries and each of these collectors inspire me, because of how devoted they are to the shows they collect, their wonderful, museum-like approach to maintaining their galleries, their beautiful layouts and collections, or their wonderful and positive approach to this crazy hobby!

humm favorite gallery... Why not go with a gallery that has been mentioned roughly 5 times already?

http://animejewell.rubberslug.com

^ She has one of the most amazing collection. As already stated you'd think with the massive amount she has that some would be low quality but her gallery keeps a constant A quality going. I'd love to take some off her hands ^^
