Oliver is supposed to be a geriatric cat, but I've learned that it's just that his chakras get unbalanced. The energy levels sort of clump around his lower abdomen. But if you hold him upside down and rub his tummy vigorously, then the energies redistribute more toward the front. Magnolia, our previous cat, used to just hang passively by the legs and let the energies seep forward (we called this position "fresh-killed game kitty"). But Oliver, being a guy cat (though neutered) needs a bit of stimulation. When he starts to bite, he's got all the energy he needs in his neck and head chakras, and we can let him down.
