Anime OP and ED

Post by Gonzai »

There are certain OP's or Endings that when I watch
them or listen to the music, it makes me want to watch
the series all over again. A couple examples would be
Samurai 7 OP, Bleach OP #2, Juuni Kokki OP and Inuyasha
Ending #2. How about you guys - same thing?? Are there
any OPs or EDs that when you see or hear them it makes
you want to watch the whole series again?? :o

I took a look at my old favorite anime OP and CL list. I know the list is old, but a lot of the OPs and CLs I like are not from anime I'm much into. And I can't even remember the opening or closing songs for most of my favorite anime. X|

Three anime I can think of:

1. Ah My Goddess OVA OP ("My Heart iidasenai, Your Heart tashikametai" by the Goddess Family Club)

2. Sentimental Journey OP ("Tenshi ni aitakute" by Kaoru Watanabe)

3. Please Save My Earth Closing ("Toki no Kioku" by Seika):

Actually, I really like the Tenjou Tenge OP but I really don't care for the anime. I just thought the dance sequences are funny. :D

Hm.... This is kinda easy. haha

The Opening to bleach.. well.. two of them: Asterisk and Ichirin no Hana. I listen to them, and oh man its Bleach watching time. haha (I have Ichirin no Hana on my myspace >_> lol)

Also the Naruto Openings: Haruka Kanata and Seishun Kyosokyoku.

THis is kinda like a opening theme.. but the song Ai no Tenshi from Perfect Blue makes me want to watch that movie as well.

yep... lol

I really like the GTO opening song. And the Fruits Basket one is cool too. Oh and the Steel Angel Kurumi opening. When I hear em I want to see the series again. No need to say that when I hear the Sailor Stars opening I head straight to my Dvd's and play episode 200. :P

I would have to add the openings to Hikaru no Go and Gravitation plus a few of the Inuyasha openings and endings but not sure of the #. Gundam Wing also comes to mind. I'm sure there are others.

Giant Robo has an unusual intro and not much to speak of in way of an ending.
But everytime I hear that unique opening, I just have to see the series all
over again. This question is semi-ironic, because we are currently converting
GR for our video iPod (again!) so I get to hear the intro over and over.
There was a firmware upgrade for the iPod which allows for near DVD quality video.
Especially hooking it up to the TV, you can't tell the difference!

Some other series with great OP/END are Outlaw Star, Midori Days, G Gundam,
Brigadoon, Escaflowne, Heat Guy J, FLCL, Berserk and the newer Cutey Honey
anime series and live-action movie.

Hmmm ... for me, the ones that come to mind right away are the Weiss Velvet Underworld OP, and Dress -- the opening to Trinity Blood (although I haven't seen all of TB yet, but that opening song just mesmerizes me!!).

Most of the Bleach openings and endings.

"Heart of Sword"

Both the opening and ending to "Fantastic Children."

The opening to Rave (not the ridiculous excuse for an opening they used on Cartoon Network. Geez, ruin a great experience why not).

"Hit in America" (Beck)

hmmm.... man there are so many! This sounds funny, too but there were a couple of the ending songs to the first Beet the Vandel Buster series that just gave me goosebumps... "Running Under the Moon" :D

Escaflowne's Yakusoku wa Iranai. I also can't hear "Fly me to the moon" without thinking of Eva.

I think one of the best ones that has eeriely captured me and I play over and over again is from Galaxy Railways... It's "Ginga no Hikari"... I've actually decided to rip the long version of it on episode twelve... It's too bad though there's no cels for me to grab a few... Here it is though... Sorry for the bad encoding at the end.
