ending auction days

Post by duotrouble »

Is there a day of the week that you prefer your auctions to end on? I'm talking about any and all your auctions - ebay, YJ, Mandy, etc. I know some people prefer them ending on weekends while others prefer weekdays. So what's your preference?

For me, I prefer Tuesdays. The weekends I'm usually busy doing fun stuff with my real life that I sometimes don't get much computer time. Well, that is unless I'm stuck at work like today. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are typically my heavy overtime days so again auctions will be forgotten about. Thursdays are doubly bad if we're talking about ebay since they usually have server repairs on that day. So it pretty much boils down to my boring Tuesdays that nothing ever happens on. :^^:

(I would have made it a poll but I can't seem to get that to work for me now.)

As long as I'm home and it's not ending early in the morning then it's all the same to me. Nothing like waking up after only 3 hours of sleep to win an auction. Or in some cases lose... X|

This is a good question. :) Usually I prefer weekend b/c I travel so much lately and I will not be at home nor have time to check auctions during week days.... :(

I'd prefer auctions to end on my days off from work. But my work schedule changes every week so I don't have a preferred day for auctions to end.

Generally though, I'd prefer auctions to end Monday to Thursday mornings and/or on days when I don't need as much sleep. My least favorite day for auctions to end is Sunday.

And the later the auction ends the better. If an auction ends at 1:30AM Japan time (like a couple of mine have) I like that too... :D

...unless I have to go to work before that time. :(

Auctions ending at 3AM my time is about as bad as it can get for me. :coffee:

I prefer during the week, because I'm rarely in front of the computer on weekends. My job consists of me staring at a computer all day, so I'll already be there to watch auctions end. :D

I prefer them to end when I am not at work, since I only occasionally have access to a computer that is connected to the internet then.

My work schedule is very random and includes both day shifts, night shifts, weekdays and weekends. This means no particular day or time of day is better for me.

I perfer them to be end Sunday-Thursday 4am-6am my time (Central standard) As I get the least ammount of competition for whatever I'm going for and I used to work Nights (starting at 3 AM) so I'm fine with being awake then. Smack in the middle of the day IE 12pm-4pm for ebay auctions isn't bad either as I also get very little competition for those.

Definitely on the weekdays. The weekends are reserved for family, local friends, and taking care of the things that one cannot get during the week.

As long as its not to early i am fine with it. Because i currently take courses online anytime as long as I am home is usually good. I guess the BEST time for me would be around 10 PM only because its well after dinner and chances are there will be no interruptions.

I prefer early Tuesday mornings since I'm usually free on Tuesdays. That way no matter the outcome of the auction I can still sleep in :P

I don't really have a particular day . . . I suppose that I don't like Saturdays, since I'm never really near a computer except for in the morning. Which reminds me that I have an auction ending this Saturday that I was planning on babysitting . . . probably won't be able to now. X|

I guess I prefer at night, since that's when I am most likely to be in front of or have access to a computer.

Sunday evenings aren't very good, either, since I visit my parents. But I can get on a computer if I really want to, so I suppose it isn't that bad. I'm just more likely to loose track of time at my parents'.
