Non-cel update

Post by kymaera »

Feeling ashamed that even shellie has updated her website since I last
updated my figure website, I felt compelled tonight to take the pictures and
get it up to date.

http://www.kymaera.net/figures/
The updates can be found by scrolling the menu to the bottom and clicking on
the last button.

This includes Baakay's recent birthday gift to me. (Though, I've held off on
posting the special "omake" picture of it until she posts her birthday gifts)

WOW! That is one awesome update! I especially liked the Kiddy Grade figures, and the ones from Ragnarok. The Ragnarok designs are really, really nice. I'm amazed at the variety of series represented in your figure collection. Truly impressive, and I love the way you have them displayed.

Congrats on a super update, and thanks for sharing with us!

Baakay's dollie=gratuitous panty shot. :P

Now, why do all these figures look so familiar . . . /hmm :P

Nice stuff. Now you need to update the "on order" section. :P

Kay, get to scanning and posting! The world must see the omake shot! And I must see it in focus! :P

So glad I could shame you into updating, ky! :D

The sheer number and variety of your figure collection continues to amaze me. I think in your latest update, my favorite is the Genshiken Ohno figure. Very pretty. What kind of camera do you have? I can't get that close to anything without it going all blurry... Your pics are marvelously detailed. And I like how you have them organized... They are so...uuuuuum... ORGANIZED! :) Everything looks wonderful. (Even Kay's school girl. ;))

Thanks for the comments all.

tex-chan:
The Kiddy Grade figures are very nice and quite affordable. I also like the
Ragnarok figures. Though, I haven't gotten around to buying the next couple
of series that have been released yet.

klet:
Continue to heckle Baakay! She deserves it!
Yeah, I need to update the "on order" section. I know that I have these on
order:
Rin from Fate Stay Night
Pinky St figure
Suigintou from Rozen Maiden

vapalla:
Yeah, but I will not spend $750 on a doll!

shellie:
It's a Canon Powershot G2. I've had it for quite a few years now and it's
been great.
I have this webpage, my cel and avatar pages script generated. It's a
pain to set up in the first place, but it makes updating quick.

No, I'm not trying to make him into a doll collector... (although I argued for years that he was collecting anime dollies. they just don't *move*) I'm just trying to fulfill that "Get me a Japanese Schoolgirl and Get Out of Christmas Presents Forever" thing he's been saying for years. :D

So ... an Obitsu 27 cm (1/6 scale) doll and matching head... and wig... Japanese. Check. A "Jenny" doll schoolgirl outfit imported from.... you guessed it... Japan. Put them together and you have: voila! a Japanese schoolgirl! Yes? Yes???

...and for the record, he never said squat about this girl needing to be ALIVE, or FULL SCALE, or REAL... Never! Nope!!

I believe his sister and his best girl-friend from college are also witnesses to this fabulous offer. In fact, I know they are, because we've swapped emails for years now trying to figure out what the hey to get this twerp for a gift! :D

Take my quiz on early Christian art and cathedral parts for me, boogerface, and I'll hop right to the scanning ;) In the meantime, I need to go back to trying to learn the difference between my nave and my apse.

(yes, he actually gave me some VERY neat stuff for my birthday!)

After your previous botched attempts where you forgot air holes, I did throw
in the "still breathing" clause. So, you didn't meet the conditions :P

Hey, I'll take your quiz for you. Of course, you'd have to deal with the
consequences of that act.

1) What is an apse? Not sure, but Kay can't tell the difference between
a hole in the ground and it.
2) What is a nave? He stole the tarts and took them clean away.

Woah! woah nellie!

WHO on your list has been to Japan?? Not I. I think you must be remembering the time you tried to stuff the schoolgirl in your suitcase!!

Or...was that Kittens? *ponder*

T'warn't me, bud. This was my first attempt, and you thus must have flung the "still breathing" clause at someone else!

See?

I love it when it all works out like this.
Now show them the panties.

Come on, you KNOW you want to do it.

*snort*

So, in other words, I'm going to have to search your house if I wanna see the undies? All I got was an out of focus pic from Baakay. :P :D Still made me giggle.

Most of them I don't display. I have a large display case where I have some
of my nicer/rarer pieces. In the room I use for my library, I have a couple
of book cases that I use for display. Then, I have a few up on my desk and
entertainment center.

Other than that, I try to keep the original box if it's resealable, so I have a
lot of figures in the boxes. Besides that, I use the cardboard trays you get
with bottled water for storing gashapons and small figures.
