Giant Robo Cels
I recently got into Giant Robo. Now i am under the obsession of wanting cels from it.
If you have any that you are willing to sell i would gladly make an offer.
I really want one of Daisaku.
Thanks for the help

Well, I can't really help myself, but the biggest and best GR collection I know of belongs to the wonderful Toni, so it may be worth contacting her...but she is indeed totally greedy and obsessed with the show, but even if she's not willing to sell any, her site is definitely worth a visit.

Good luck in finding some though!

I'll be watching the last episode today *excited* and I've already started my cel collection, at the moment focusing on Daisaku. How cute is he?

I'm just so humbled that you would even think of me and my collection.
Andy

Thank you so much. ^_^ You guys have totally made my day.
It's so great to hear about people getting into GR!!! I can finally pester
some new people with boring GR-related conversation!

If anyone wants to talk about GR, you know where to find me.
It doesn't take much to get me started

Heheh well to be fair I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking!
And there's no need to be soo modest ...even you know how good your GR collection is!
I really need to get round to watching those episodes you sent me...it's next on the list and then you'll have to bid against me too! (So it better be good, otherwise I'm blaming you!)

Oh stop it Andy, you're making me blush. ^_^
I do feel quite guilty tho, since I haven't bothered to update in ages.
I've been looking for some Daisaku cels lately, but I haven't come across much.
There are some cels floating around on YJ and Rick just updated...
Prices are kinda ouch tho, especially for GR.

http://welcomeconsumer.rubberslug.com/g ... mID=136815. Your collection is truely wonderful

I'm started watching GR throught for the second time now and I'm starting to understand it a little more

I can't wait to show off the cels I've brought. I'm waiting for them all to arrive, then I'll do a large update. This morning I realised I'd ordered 10 robo cels (and am waiting to hear about another 1). I didn't mean to go that crazy!!! I'm really happy cuz I've already found my wishlist cel of Giant Robo himself (itself?). I'm hope I'm as lucky in tracing down my ultimate Daisaku cel *crossfingers*
I saw Rick's update too. There's some great cels but you're right about the prices

Thank you so much. I hardly know what to say.
Ohhhh! It sounds like you've been very busy! I can't wait to see your GR update.
GR is definitely a series you should watch more than once. There's a lot
of complexity you're likely to miss the first time around.
Is Daisaku your favorite character? Who else do you like?
I'm hard pressed to choose just one favorite
hehe

Oooo Daisaku is very definately my favourite character

Kenji
Taisou
Tetsugyu
Yoshi
Fitzgerald
I can't narrow it down any more than that! Robo is cool too and I'm kind of fond of Lord Albert. Go on spill - who are your favourites?

I was always interested in GR, right from the begining. I read an article about in "AnimeUK" magazine. But there were no dvds back then and virtually nobody had heard of anime, except for a handful of fans. From the one or two pictures, I couldn't work out if Daisaku was male or female *dies of embarasment*
Wish I'd kept that magazine, although I'm sure I still have a mini Gin Rei figure. I'll look!!!!

Wish I hadn't waited so long before finally watching GR.

That's great to hear that you've become addicted. More souls for the GR cult!
mwhaha!
Er... I mean...
As for my favorites, lemme think...
Yoshi is such a strong woman (physically and emotionally). I also dig her skin color.
I love how big Tetsugyuu is, he reminds me of a huggable teddy bear.
Taisou is just such a badass and his final showdown with Alberto is simply fantastic.
Fitzgerald is definitely one of the most original characters I've ever seen.
Alberto is probably my absolute favorite tho.
Honestly, I love the whole cast. They all play off one another and compliment the storyline so nicely.
It's hard to narrow down.
Nadia, you said it. GR does character development best. That's probably
why I can rewatch it and find something new to enjoy each time.
That's a really cool story about the magazine article. As you say,
there were no DVDs to speak of for years. Just VHS, ew.
The only DVD boxset around for a long time was available from Korea.
It was actually a very nice set, included tons of features and interviews.
But still, it's so great to finally have an official boxset, plus the Gin Rei specials.
That reminds me, Andy, did you ever get around to watch those DVDs I sent?
I wanna hear some of your input too!

LOL! Eddie, you forgot already
That's ok, GR has quite a few characters to keep track of!
"Frenchie", that would be Kenji Marusami.
And "The guy with the short black hair, the Chief commander leader guy...." is Chief Chujo . I don't care what the new dub calls him.
My Fav is Alberto. A fantastic multi-dimensional villian.
