Series you want to collect but don't

I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem. There are a number of series I'd really, really like to collect but, they are either under represented or not represented at all in my gallery becasue I haven't been able to find artwork in the quality I'm looking for. But, I still look for art from said series as often and as seriously as I do the series I openly collect. The ones that come to mind for me are:
Kakyusei: I love the artwork and I love the game but, quality cels are few and far between these days and on the off chance I do see one, I can never seem to win it.
Ninja Scroll: I worship Kawajiri and really love the artwork but, I rarely see cels from this film that really appeal to me.
Bastard: I've just about driven myself insane looking for Quality Arshes and Darsh. I've seen one Darsh ever that I really wanted but, the seller ended the auction early

And I've never seen what I consder to be the perfect Arshes.
Legend of Lemear: This series has some of the most beautiful artwork ever but, really nice shots from it pop up rarely and whenever they do I'm never the victor.
Cowboy Bebop: We had a number from this series and sold them becasue they just weren't of the quality we wanted. These days on the off chance I do see one I want, which is rarely as most nice shots have long ago been put in other galleries, it's always too expensive for us (usually $1k and up)
Lodoss wars ova: We really love the OVA but, we've only got one lonely little cel from it. Like Bebop this is a matter of quality shots have long since been taken away by other collectors and when one does pop up it's often quite a ways out of our price range.

Anyone else have those series they really want to collect but, don't or can't for whatever reason?

Let's see....

Evangelion:I have a few, but the truly nice shots (or shots of Rei) are far too expensive, and have so much competition that they are impossible to get.

Cowboy Bebop:For much the same reasons that ashenfairy mentioned. Too rare on the nice shots, and too hard to secure.

Fullmetal Alchemist:Too many people after this series, makes the price prohibitive.

Video Girl Ai:I love the artwork of this series. The character designs are extremely beautiful. However, there is a fanatically devoted collector element which makes securing a nice cel impossible. I think I've only tried once or twice and never successfully.

Vampire Hunter D: Same as VGA, very prohibitive on the price for really nice shots. Gorgeous artwork though.

For the same reasons you stated above whether price or availability; Ghibli cels, Kare-kano, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Rose of Versailles, Voltron…

For some unknown reason to myself, although I like maybe even –loved- the following series and the price is manageable, Weiss Kruez, Magic Knight Rayearth, Slayers, Spriggan, I’ve always stepped back when I’m just about ready to click the buy it now button. It totally does not make sense to me and yet I know I want them. LOL…

Kare Kano and X are two series I want to collect from.. I Just havn't gotten around to it yet nor do I want to spend that much money right now. It takes away money i can spend on cels from the series i currently collect from. lol

Recently, I'd been trying to pull away from buying nothing but Bleach's Ichigo, but I'm feeling the need again.

Obsessions tend to eclipse all else.

I'd eventually love to get a nice Kenshin or two. Too expensive.

Inuyasha. Kind of feel the need to watch it first before laying down big money there.

Still looking for a good GiTS of the main guy that's not any part cybernetic (can't remember his name).

Bronze - too expensive.

Kizuna - haven't found just the right cel yet.

Transformers - First generation of Optimus Prime. Too hard to find.

Ai no Kusabi - too expensive.

Many others that I find that I like, but just don't want to divert Ichigo funds to.

Hmmm...mostly due to competition/money, these are the series that I've always wanted to collect, but haven't:

Words Worth: it has some very nice, color artwork. But the hentai fans snap up the really good cels. Not to mention that Jon already owns the crowning beauty

VIPER: I'd really like one of the gorgeous hanken cels, but then I'd have to say goodbye to my kidneys and part of my liver...

Lodoss OVA: I loved the series and I adore the artwork. But once again, I'd have to sell my soul to get the really nice cels.

Utena: Really nice cels are very hard to find and command premium prices. Which probably explains why the only cel I have so far is of an octopus.

Inu Yasha: I would love to purchase some cels from this show, but the competition sounds too intense for me.

Sailor Moon: rabid fans. Enough said.

I'm sure there are more, but these spring to mind at the moment.

Since I do collect from Inuyasha and Kenshin (2 fairly expensive series) I have limited the number of new series to collect b/c knowing me, I wouldn't stop at just one...included are
Tactics,
Loveless,
Tokyo Babylon,
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust,
Ai no Kusabi
Trinity Blood
Samurai Champloo

Series I would love to collect from but either the price is too high or I haven't found the right cel/sketch are
Gundam Seed and Destiny,
Kyou Mara Maou,
Full Metal Panic,
possibly Ouran High Host Club....
and if anything shows up for Deathnote....I will be there...at least watching

It mainly comes down to price for me, I would love to collect from the below shows...but my already limited funds prohibit this. I also find it hard to justify spending excessive amounts on cels…no matter how good they are!

I'd like more cels from Kawajiri series too like Wicked/Monster/Cyber City, Ninja Scroll, VHD Bloodlust but they're scarce which means that when they do come along, they're expensive.

Same goes for catgirls- I've seen several but they always sell for lots. Would like a good one from Outlaw Star, Darkstalkers, Dominion, Digi Charat and more from WordsWorth, I want to marry Nina

There are lots of series that I would love to collect, but between my dust-bunny filled wallet and the collectors that are already vying for these series, I'd probably do best to stay away.

Cardcaptor Sakura - I do love CLAMP's artwork, and CCS has some fantastic cel artwork and very vivid colors. I'd love to purchase some cels of Yue, Rubymoon, Eriol and Suppi, but, I know I would be paying a hefty price for the kind of scenes/artistic caliber that I demand.

Inuyasha - The only character I'm really fond of is Kikyo(prior to her 'rebirth'), but this is due to really enjoying characters in the typical Shinto priestess outfit. I'd probably be better off just buying a Shinto priestess outfit than purchasing a cel based on this feature alone.

Rozen Maiden - I really love the story line and the character development/design. Shinku's movements feature a characteristic rigid movement that I would expect from a jointed doll. However, finding rilezu for this series is difficult and expensive, and I'm not very fond of black/white sketches.

Jigoku Shoujo(Hell Girl) - I fell in love with this manga when it was first introduced in Nakayosi. The artwork does stray away from the 'mahou shoujo' style that I prefer, but, the costume design and the storyline of this anime would inspire me to purchase more if I could find more than settei.

12 Kingdoms - Saw this in Spain and was just amazed with the intricacies of the storyline and the artwork. Still haven't finished the series, but, I've heard that the artwork from this series is difficult and pricey to find. Two words I don't like when collecting anime.

Pichi Pichi Pitch - I'll always have a special place in my heart for shoujo animes. But, with all the animation done with CG, it's hard for me to justify spending money on something that lacks color.

Hmm, interesting topic. For me, the reasons mostly come down to pricing.

Lodoss OVA: Too much money!
Ghibli: Too much money!
Ghost in the Shell: I have a couple of these, but Motoko is rare and costly.
Ranma: Too big a can of worms to open... better to stay away.
Wings of Honneamise: Tough to find good cels and even the bad ones don't come cheap.
Wind Named Amnesia: I buy what I can find... I have one.
