Does one need to know the anime that the cel is from in order to submit? I have an unknown cel that I'd like to submit in either one of two categories, so I'd like to make sure if I can or not. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you don't need to know. The series information is omitted in the display anyway, so even if you did know, it wouldn't show up.
We're judging purely on aesthetics: how well the cel visually epitomizes the category.

ive scanned in 42 cels and need to upload them and enter this contest!! My main computer is down(the one with all of my scans on it >_>) I hope to have it back and running by Friday. I am excited about this new contest! ^_^

They name of the anime is not important in the least. We are judging how the cel best represents the category it was placed in.

If I enter into a category that gets less than 3 entries, do I get to submit another image into a category that does have its minimum requirements?
Assuming of course the maximum 25 was not reached by the November 18 deadline.

Yep! He'll tell you that you have to submit into another category.

Really almost any cel can fit into the female and male category!

I felt like braging that people (Like I) living on the east coast are the luckiest cause it becomes 11th sooner!
