Even with the line fading, this ( http://stemcels.rubberslug.com/gallery/ ... mID=182396 ) is just a beautiful cel. Nice update.

Excellent update. I especially like the cel of Shaolin from Mamotte Shugogetten. That is one of the best of the reproductions. Interestingly, Linda of Anime Jewel has a cel from the anime. She believes that it may be a hanken as all the production was done with CG. I have a small reproduction cels of Rishu as well as a doll sitting on my desk!

Rallihir: Why would a CG show have hand-painted hankens? I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before (but that doesn't mean it isn't true!)
Is your repro of Rishu limited as well? I've been looking for one of those for awhile now, so I'd like to know what my chances are! *laughs*

Apparently there are a couple shows right around the transition time of cels to CG where the hankens were produced within the studio by artists who did not want to go to CG. An example of this is the Comic Party hanken in my gallery. This was one of two hankens for Comic Party that I have seen. Comic Party is an all CG show. Curiously, I have a harmony cel from Sugar Snow Fairy. That show is also all CG but appears to have specific stills that were done with cels.

As for cels of Rishu, there were several on YJ about 2 years ago, but I have not seen anything recently. I picked up mine from sovereign in one of her sales. The most spectacular item I have seen for Mamotte Shugogetten was a shikishi of Shaolin about 18 months ago. That went for over 100K yen on YJ.
