Interesting comparison.

Hmm...my siggie was made up a while ago when I first joined up, but it's changed a few times since joining.

The only image displayed is a button link to my cel gallery. Whenever I decide to change my button, then my siggie button changes as well. Before it was Sailor Moon holding SME up, but this one is an animated gif, and I like this one quite a lot so it might be around for a while. ;)

I was going to make it holiday themed, but I'm strapped for time as it is. I do follow a certain pattern for my siggie, as I've changed it to a list format, quoting 3 of my favorite quotes related to anime. Of course, Toni and I like to mess around so the last part of the list format is devoted to her, and all things lovely to consume, with her message of approval. :) :D 8)

  • "Anyone who sees me has a date with his maker." - Shinigami
  • "WHAT!??! Men in pink!? How bizarre!" - Vegeta
  • This message has been approved by Welcome Consumer...got questions? She's got answers. :P

I've always really liked your quotes SME, especially that last one... :P

But that Naoko Takeuchi quote carries such a great message. When you think about what kind of impact Sailor Moon had on the world and the way it rejuvenated and reinvented the magical girl team genre, it's kind of amazing.

Speaking of signatures, I have revamped mine. Underneath my "consumable" are links to various sites regarding WC. Just added a new one. :wink:

Mine which has been the only one I have used with no plans to change it is from my favorite author H. P. Lovecraft and is a quote from one of the letters he wrote to a group of literary critics in England in defence of a story he wrote titled Dagon.

His response is to a comment made that one should be willing to sacrifice things of this world in hope that when reincarnated one would have a better life.

He in a few words sums up his view that in view of man's uncertainty of what lies beyond death , one should live life now in it's fullest and as such in a way that they leave a mark here by the work they accomplish and how they treat others.
"Like the wind crying endlessly through the universe, Time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerors and commoners alike. And all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment." Harlan Ellison

INITIAL D (4th stage)
it matches my avy (Keisuke Takahashi, the driver of the yellow RX 7)

and my sig and avy pic change all the time.
but the quotes, for the most part, stay the same.

Mine's a screencap from the second Armitage movie. Kymaera and I were watching it together a while ago, and this shot popped up (just some random stewardess or something) and we both about died laughing. Later, he sent me the screencap with the email title "Have Fun!" So I did. :P

I don't think I have a quote up right now . . . hmmmm . . .

Oh, and there's the link to my gallery, too.

Mine is of my favorite anime guy, Neji Hyuuga from 'Naruto.' I need to make a new one, but life has been hectic. :l

ooo... this is a great post. i am always curious about the siggies. it's tiny, but mine is the last unicorn, looking up at the moon. she is contemplating the fate of the other unicorns, and whether she must leave her forest to help them. my avatar and siggie are from the same scene. :wink:

I've opted for a little poem over the last few months, it's one that my mum used to keep taped to the fridge at our old house over 20 years ago and it stuck. Not only to the fridge but in my mind ;)

Reading it now I always smile at the irony; I love that dry humour and it reminds me not to be too serious and that it's good to laugh at my own misfortune to keep things in perspective.
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...
