I get away to grade my students finals and come back to this. Yes let's get back on track. Thanks mods for staying on top of things. :bow :bow :bow Hopefully I can be back in full swing at the end of the week once testing is all over. I'm so sick of grading......massive neck pain. Grrrrr. I can't wait to see the results though. I had such a hard time choosing in some categories. As for the awards I'm sure BH has done the best he can and we can't ask anymore than that. We can't look back and say we'd change this and that. What's done is done. I know I'm just grateful that someone took on the awards this year. I also hope this hasn't left a sour taste in people's mouths. I'd love to see the awards continue without the drama for years to come. We learn as we go as to what kinks to work out. Next year we'll have a better understanding of what rules to put in place. Each year a new lesson is learned. Thakns BH for taking this on and I'm sorry to those whom have been hurt in all of this. :ghug: In time hopefully wounds will heal.

***EDIT***
As an edit I received some emails regarding my post from several members saying I seemed to be "choosing sides". I haven't taken any sides. I'm just trying to keep the peace on this board. I like both BH and Kymeara. If there are any issues then it isn't my place to put my two cents in where I'm not involved. I'm hoping those two will settle things in the future or at least come to some understanding, but frankly it isn't my business. I just want to keep the awards fun for those who participated. Especially those who entered for their first time this year. That is the mods job as well as mine. We will enter when a topic gets out of hand. That's it. I appreciate both sides taking their problems to PMs. That's all I can ask.

On a more fun note....good luck to everyone who entered. The suspense is killing me. 8O

I know.

I forgot to ask, will the Beta Awards site stay up after the event is over?

Yup, the site will stay up all year. The next host can use it if they wish.

About 1/4 done with the votes. We had 89 total voters this year. So far, there are some landslides and some close calls. Winners will be up no later than noon tomorrow.

Sorry it's taking this long, but we had some categories that were decided by only a couple of votes. I thought they deserved a recount just to be sure. Winners will be announed in a couple of hours.

Any truth to the rumor that shoujo anime candidates might now control both houses of the Beta legislative branch? Or is the Supreme Court ready to intervene if that seems likely?

^ LOL

I'm glad that Brian is playing it safe with a recount because I'd hate my gold trophies to end up in my rivals hands ;)

There are a few entries in the gallery that I really liked but don't know who submitted them, perhaps these will be winners so I can find out who owns them!

You've been watching Fox News, haven't you?

We had to have a recount. There was a problem with the machines in Ohio and Florida.

As Mig said, winners are up! Congrats to the winners. Lots of sketches got awards, which is very cool. We even had four categories end in ties! Wow! That really shows how strong the entries were. To those who entered, thank you. To all who voted, a big thank you. I think we set records this year with the number of entries and votes.

Awesome job everyone! Thanks Brian and congratulations to all the winners. And thank you to everyone who voted for my cel. :D

I don't know who owned all of the winning cels, can people please claim them? Or maybe Brian can you put the names up? But only if it's not too much trouble. I'm just so curious to know who owned which beauties!

Wow, some of my votes were winners or runner ups. Some of the items I was surprised to see were winners or runner-ups too. So, it is a very nice surprise to see some of the results. Congrats to all! :)

I think we'll do it the way we have done it before, just have a claiming thread. Folks, post a link to your winning cel. It's easier this way, so I don't have to go back over 300+ entries and search for winners.

Also, you can download your award by clicking on the link at the bottom right corner.
