Not "hiding" anything, given that I have no concept of how I would do that in my database. But I have maybe half a dozen gift cels from hentai shows that, while none of them have the yummy cream-filled-center goodness of this year's award-winner ;) are not the type of thing that it's wise to show in this area of the world. Oh I can just hear the commentary now. :?

I also am missing some variations-on-a-theme sketches from big groups.

Aside from that, all the goods are there.

Ah ... this reminded me. I'm the same way -- I don't scan in all the sketches whenever I get a set. I just scan and display my favorites. I suppose that counts as "hiding", too, although I never thought of it that way.

My "coming soon" section is password protected. There is currently only one cel that I own that is not displayed online. And that's because I have been unable to get ahold of the copy-matching background. As soon as I get the background, I'll upload it...after I spend a week trying to piece together the scans!

The only items I'm hiding are because I only seem to update a couple times a year. They'll no longer be hidden whenever I get around to updating again.

I only really consider that hiding if it's something worth seeing and something from a different cut than the ones you are already showing. I have some mouths and very minor correction sketches (only a few lines) that no one is going to be interested in seeing....

I don't have anything hidden in my gallery but there are some things that I've not scanned. No time really and given that I've now fallen into the "Comment to follow" pattern... ^__^***

But I plan to show all my cels because I like looking at them myself (minimizes my handling of the cels) and I know some people like to look at them too. :D Makes me happy.

I don't think it counts if you just haven't scanned things yet. If that was the case, then, er, I'm hiding a hell of a lot.

I hid one thing for a little while in my gallery, until I paid for it, but once I did I was quite pleased to display it. (And now it's in my hot little hands and fully takes up one of my 18"x24" pages in my art portfolio and...I love it more than I did the day I saw it.)

Each collector has their own idea of what they want to show and how much they want to show/share. Just being lazy not to scan isn't really hidding something.

I personally am a very lazy person, hate scanning and just don't feel like showing right now. Must be the holidays!!! *misses her hubby*

I am hiding most of my gallery right now. That is largely because I am still allowing offers on what is showing and wouldn't want to confuse anyone by showing a bunch of stuff I'm not considering offers one. The offer period will end before the new year though, so then I'll probably unhide lots.

I also have probably a dozen or so cels that I would like to show when I unhide things, but am too lazy to scan in, especially those big pan cels that invovle multiple scans pieced together.

I also have probably hmm, around 100 cels that I never scanned because I just didn't think it was worth it. A lot were freebies or stuff I picked up in Japan for people that didn't end up wanting/claiming them, or stuff that came in cel sets where I had to buy five cels in order to get the one I wanted, or some other sort of package deals that had me ending up with a bunch of cels I wasn't really interested in.

Anyway, someday maybe I'll scan in the rest of the ones I want to scan in. I'm hoping in the New Year to have time to scan all the stuff from the above paragraph and toss it in RS shop or on eBay to clear it out, but we'll see how they goes.

Remi ^_^

I just discovered that the program that comes with digital cameras for splicing pictures together works great for scans of cels, and therefor I am getting better scans/ first scans of a lot of items to add to my gallery. 8)

Check out my new scans, now and after Christmas

The only thing that I am hiding in my gallery are pictures of my house and me in Renaissance Faire costume, but I do have more to scan and more coming from Japan :D

I'm not hiding anything per se. :shrug

But in an imaginary world where I'm actually scanning my stuff I have a personal ban on putting up:

1. Any cels I bought in the last six to eight months.

2. Any sketches where the last episode of the anime came out less than two years ago (or two years after the 26th episode if the anime is a long series).

If I pulled that off today I would be forced to keep these from view:

1. Eight to fourteen cels from four to seven series.
2. Twenty five sketch sets from eighteen series:

---In Detail: The Sketch De-classification dates:

3 sketch sets between today and the end of the year. :yay

4 sets from 2 series --- June 2007 :?
1 set from 1 series ---- July 2007
2 sets from 2 series --- Sept 2007 :(
4 sets from 2 series --- Dec 2007 X|
1 set from 1 series ---- Jan 2008 :O
2 set from 2 series ---- Mar 2008 :x
1 set from 1 series ---- May 2008 :hurt:
3 sets from 2 series --- June 2008 :bwall
2 sets from 1 series --- Sept 2008 :l
2 sets from 1 series --- Dec 2008 :bawl

I'm glad this thread came up because I discovered through it that I have quite a few series that are now past the two year limit. /no1

Well it's nearing that time of the year. I've moved to updating the gallery once a year. Come January I'll probably get the last of 2006's deputy items and then post the update towards the start of February.

The sketch sets seem to add up in a hurry. Oh, and there is the one cel I'll never post because I can't censor it and still have something left to post :P

Normally I only hide my coming soon section but I just decided to hide 70% of my collection due to wanting to get things organized and update info for items.

Umm . . . is there anything we can do to make you change your mind and show them?
lol. n.n;

I can update after the New Year... right now I am working close to 70 hours at two retail jobs through Christmas. I have some sketches of Evil Tamahome, Miaka, and Tetsuya I think...and some misc cels of minor characters from FY TV, a Taka or so...and I can't remember what else. n.n;
YAY! :yay

Don't feel rushed to get it done though! X|
