Oh the weather outside was whitening.....

Post by Goldknight »

Till the dog did something frightening.......he's got no other place to go......yellow snow, yellow snow, yellow snow.....

We are under Blizzard conditions here in Colorado. Everything is closing down. Very impressive storm. So far we have over 1 foot of snow at my house and are expected to get another foot to foot and a half. O_o;

I've been outside shoveling a path for my dog to get out to the yard.
Brrrrrr. But what a blast curling up under the blankets....
Anyone else here locked in?

Whereabouts in Colorado are you? I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and miss the town something awful at times. I definitely remember the occasional crazy snow storms. Although in the 4 years I was there, CU delcared only one snow day...one. Trudging through the quad in near white-out conditions to get to an 8am recitation is NOT one of my better memories. :)

There have been some brisk days and cold nights here in Southern California. Enough for me to fish out the sheepskin slippers which is about as severe a winter we get down here. Heh. Not quite the same as throwing some logs in the fireplace and snuggling up under the covers on a snowy December day.

*sigh* I really should book a flight east...

Stay warm and wave hello to the Flatirons for me Goldknight!

ROFL! My sister lives in Boulder near Flatirons. She said it's nasty up her way. I'm down south in Lone Tree. I had to cancel my appointments today which were pure hell to schedule in the first place. I love rescheduling doctor's appointments. Always fun. :P We're getting pounded worse down south than they are up north.

Rescheduling Dr. appointments sounds like a TON of fun...oy. I hope you were able to get at least some of the day off!

Yep, it's fun up here in Greeley, too. A good 10 inches at least by our house, and we don't usually get it as badly as Denver does. This is only the 2nd time in 13 1/2 years that the Uni has closed down. Yay! a day and a half of free time off! :P

Glad I'm not trying to go anywhere at the moment... O_o

it has yet to truly snow in ohio.... if a dusting on the ground that melted off in less than an hour counts for snow. >_< Which is usually odd, I"m usually digging my car outta the snow by now.

I loved colorado though I've only been there during the summer months. I rememeber visiting my friends in Denver one July - I woke up one morning to find an inch of snow on the ground in july! LOL.

Glad to hear you didn't have to go out in that weather. Well, except of course for the dog.

I'll think about you while I'm lying next to the pool tomorrow in 82 degree weather. :P

STAY WARM! :friends:

Do you take them today but have been shoveling and cleaning house all day getting ready for the holiday often?
