rant....

Post by kittens »

I need to rant a bit :( :( Yesterday on a way to come back from RDU, NC to Lexington KY, on an airplane, I was kinda sleeping b/c of a lack of sleep. So I did not hear that a flight attendance said she does not want to serve anything but water, coke, diet coke.

I usualy ask orange juice b/c I do not want to get cold so I asked her orange juice. So she gave it to me without saying anything.

Then a person next to me asked her if he can get it as well. So she said (really this is EXCT quote) "Ah, she (the bitch meant me!) just does not understand".

WTF!!!!! So I stopped her what it meant. So she said she told us that she did not serve but cokes b/c of a short flight. So I said why she did not tell me "No" when I asked her orange juice. She did not say anything any more and she just left!

I am sorry but I have a doctorate in math! and I am a professor in stat. So I DO understand basic English (ok there are many things I do not understand but I do understand basic english like orange juice is not served).

This is completely RACISM! She just assumed that I am a FOB!

BTW, I took US air! They keep losing my bugs and now they are racism! I will NEVER take US Air!!!!!

Sorry for rant but I do really hate that I am treated badly.....

I will stop ranting :)

That's horrible Kittens! I would have taken that womans name and filed a complaint with the airline company. It sickens me that people can be so ignorant like this. :( I'm sorry this happened to you *hugs*

What is the old saying...

When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of you and umption(I know, but I like Samuel L. Jackson's version better, OK). She definitely made an assumption about you, and that is outright racism in its purest form. That really sucks, and I'm sorry you had to be exposed to that.

Can you explain to me why serving orange juice is different from coke and water?

I'm just curious... Because orange juice isn't much different from coke and water!

I'm really really sorry Kittens!

But is it me or maybe she just didn't know what to say to keep the man beside you from complaining?

Because a true racist would have pointed out that they could not serve orange juice because of a stupid policy. Instead she went ahead and got you the orange juice!

I always try to see the positive side that maybe, maybe she wanted you to have your orange juice and just didn't want to get in trouble with the man being difficult besides you?

I hope you feel better! But I don't think she's being racist, but just wasn't smart enough to find some better excuse not to serve orange juice to the man beside you!

Personally it makes me feel better to know that someone wasn't being racist then to confirm that they are racist!

I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way! :vict :vict :vict

I mean you got the orange juice and the man didn't! So that means you win!

Thanks everyone :) :)

I feel a bit better :)

RoboFlonne, I reallly tell you that she really meant to insult me (I mean you can tell from the additude.... SHe was very annoyed that I asked orange juice). The person who asked her felt really bad for me.

I am not sure they different but her explanation was to save time she only served coke and water. what ever.....

Daaaaaaamn... our little kittens has some claws, huh? (The better to shred you with, my dear. :^^:)

I know you feel slighted sweetheart, but seriously, this really is so far beneath you that it simply isn't worth your time getting too upset over. People are retarded, especially this time year - plain & simple. What can you do? :shrug

May the Kenshin cel gods smile upon you and grant you a wish to offset this contemptuous discourtesy. :)

(Of course, you just say the word and I'll go and "Temple of Doom" that bitch for you. Image)

I would have done that same thing too! Lol. If someone sad anything liek that to me I would not be sitting back, I almost yelled at a customer today for being rude to me, people should not get away with things like that.

Well I don't know who was the bigger idiot... the flight attendant or the person next to you!

My gosh, why make a big deal over it (the person next to you, that is). Federal offense right here, ladies and gents.

I'm sorry you got treated so poorly. That just stinks.

Well that's okay. It depends on the historical context, because it changes from time to time.

Unless I'm missing something, the person next to Rurippe didn't really do
anything wrong. All he did was "me too". He may not have been paying
attention to the "coke and water" only announcement either. Rurippe said
that "The person who asked her felt really bad for me", so I'm not sure he
didn't anything wrong.

kymaera, I think the person next to me knew what she said but I think he wondered why I got special treat, but he did not bother me too much..... (after all he felt bad for me how she was mean to me. ;)
