Anime-Ed: safe to buy from?

Post by sletia »

I want to make sure because the fact I have to e-mail my credit card number to them makes me a little nervous.
I wish they just took Paypal. :x

Yes Ed is ok to deal with , if you don't want to email your CC# you might call it in.

Ed is the best! I have purchased from him several times, and I've never been disappointed or regretted it. One of the friendliest, nicest sellers around, at least from my experience.

I never emailed my credit card #. I believe I either called it in, or sent him another form of payment -- either MO or check.

Ed is one of the original Anime cel dealers. He has been doing this for a long time and has a great reputation in the business. I have bought from him both in person and over the net and he is always great to deal with.

As the others have said, Ed is great. Been around forever. Sending your information via email is safe. You'd only have to worry if someone knew your email account password, it's not exactly the same as when hackers hack a website. Email is handled a little differently, so don't worry. If you want, break it up into two emails. But honestly, you're fine. I know of several dealers who handle transactions this way and it's perfectly safe.

Ed is reliable.

I wouldn't send him the complete CC in one e-mail. I would split them up and number then in subject with 1,2,3 etc in different e-mails. but let him know that ahead of time and then delete the e-mails you sent.

I would personally just call him and give it over the phone in person to him. It's more safe then e-mail.

I've never bought from him, but I met him at Anizona and he seemed like a really nice, reliable guy. :)

Highest possible recommendation - Mr. Noonchester is as good a guy as they come.

You could always ask him about an alternate payment choice. Just make sure you intend to follow through with the transaction -
he seems to have reached his wits end with people who bail out on an order at the last minute (not that I blame him ).

He's a gem.

Proceed without fear. ;)

I understand not wanting to mail the number though... I'll bet he'll work something out for you.
