Update Fun!! (Saiyuki, Weiss Gluhen, Tactics, Loveless)
I love so many of your new things! My favorites are probably the Sanzo from Reload with Kinkaku, & the lovely Lirin. I think my favorite however, is the lovely Soubi pan drawing from Loveless! I'd gush more, but the kid is hogging the computer this weekend to do school projects.
(BTW, I sent a Neopets e-card, so if you didn't get it, fish through your spam in case it was mis-directed!

*sneaks into thread*
Sorry I've been such a poke about replying back here. I got busy and neglected my emails, so I didn't realize so many folks had replied back. Then, over the last couple of days, I was angsting over an auction and too nervous to formulate any sort of coherent reply in here. Thankfully, the auction is over, so my tiny brain can start to function again. (Uh, sorta!
)
A big, huge THANK YOU to everyone who dropped by to check out the new stuff.
Ronin, Kata, HI, Redwolf, Crackpot, Funshine, Rei, Kymaera, Vapalla, and DT: Thank you all so, so much for dropping by and for the emails on this update. I really appreciate it, as being able to share the insanity of this hobby makes things a lot more fun for me. *gloms everyone*
Sensei: Thanks, especially for the kind words on the Saiyuki additions. Considering the obsessive-compulsive zeal with which I collect Saiyuki artwork, it's nice to find out others appreciate that gallery. Often, I think I'm the only one who looks at it.
Thanks for checking out the Tactics and Loveless additions, too. As for PumpkinHead ... uh ... yeah, I find myself very afraid. *resists urge to crawl away and hide*
Graymouser: Eeep! Sorry about the Loveless sketches.
Although, I have to admit I'm very selfishly glad to have them in my gallery.
I kept eyeing them, and, each time I went back to the site, I expected them to be sold. I was so thrilled when I was able to get them.
Syan: Heh, heh. Between Aya-sensei and Soubi ... yeah, it would be a tough choice. Although, considering what a nutso Aya-Fangirl I am, I guess Aya-sensei would tend to win out. I have to admit I'm insanely jealous of your high-school experiences. Ah, what a wonderful world it would have been if I had had the hot 20-something soccer coach for a history teacher. *sigh*
WC:
You are always way, way too nice to me!
I can't thank you enough for your super-kind words. The Heather fancels are among my favorite pieces. I really love getting each new cel from her, because of the care and time she puts into making them. Plus, she is such a dear friend that it makes them that much more special to me. I recently sent her a ton (literally -- poor heather!
) of images, so I'm hoping to have some new fancels sometime in the future. I have to admit that the flying hair action and the energy of that Soubi sketch are what made it so desirable to me. That is such a difficult and, in many ways, cruel scene in the show, but the motion and the expression in the artwork is beautiful. At least, I think so. As for "trapped Sanzo" -- from one fangal to another, all I can say is: *SNICKER*
Perv-chan: Heh, heh. Gorgeous bishies ... all tied up and tossed into the Bish Closet. You're right -- it doesn't get much better. *gloms 'da Perv*
Gonzai: *HUGS*
As always, you're way too kind to me, and I treasure you for it. I wouldn't have those wonderful Tactics rilezu if not for you, and I am very grateful to you for selling them to me.
Shells: You goof! Your post made me laugh so hard! I'm still snickering over the whole purring abyssinian thing. I guess we both have the same goofy sense of humor, but that's OK. Makes life more fun, right?
I do have to say, however: You know you want to watch Saiyuki. *holds up Saiyuki DVD* It won't hurt (much).
Kira: Yep! The Saiyuki additions are from the Anime Museum sale. I was so, so happy over getting that package. It's funny how finally getting things that have been in your watchlist for forever and a day can make you all giddy-happy.
Vapalla: Argh! It seems the "spam" mail folder strikes again. I'll have to go look for your email. I don't remember seeing it, but, like I said, I've been distracted lately. I hope I can still find it, if it did accidentally get misrouted. *crosses fingers*
Sovereign: Thanks for the kind words on my sketch scans. I have a hard time scanning in my sketches. I end up playing with them both through my scanning software and through photoshop. Usually, I can get them to look the way I want by adjusting the highlights and midtones, but I never feel confident about the finished product. It's nice to know I'm not totally off-base with the scans.
Thank you -- again -- to everyone who dropped by for the update, and for the wonderful, kind comments. I appreciate all of them so much. You guys just made my day with all of your caring comments. *group glom*
Oh! And, before I forget (well, if anyone manages to read to the end of this hugely LONG post, that is ...
): I recently did a bit of a "redo" on my RS gallery. Really, it was kind of finishing up the last of that big revamp I did during November, but I added some new banners to give the place a bit of a new look.
Thanks again, you guys!!

How'd I miss this one?
Very nice additions, Tex.
I'm a big fan of the Lirin one--she just looks so attractive. If I didn't know any better I'd think she was a mature, sexy young woman.
Did Sanzo just fwap Gojyo in the head with the butt of his gun?
That's hilarious!!!!!
Oh, and boy Aya-sensei is attractive.
I watched Gluhen via Chinese bootlegs, so I was always laughing at Aya because the subtitles said "Ms. Fujiyama" (or whatever his last name is
). I'm with you--I never had attractive teachers in high school or junior high. Well, my art teacher was older-ex-hippy-man attractive, and I suppose that my fourth grade teacher was attractive as well, but I wasn't looking back then.
Anyway, gorgeous stuff! Congrats on a major update (and I like the addition of color to your gallery in the banners . . . I think I told you that somewhere before
).

Thanks so much, Klet and Masako!
Heh, heh ... Klet -- if I had had a history teacher that looked like Aya-sensei ... I probably would've flunked out of school from being too busy daydreaming about him. So, I suppose it was a good thing I had those unattractive coach types -- LOL! I did get your comment in my RS blog about the new banners. Thanks so much for always leaving such kind comments in there! *gloms*
Thanks for the kind words on the Soubi pan, Masako. I feel so, so lucky to have gotten that genga set. And, I loved it even more once I saw it in person.

Now then.
Look closely at the gold watch swinging back and forth, back and forth, back and forth in front of your nose.
You are getting sleeeeepy. Sleeeeeeeepy.
Repeat after me....
"I do not like that Soubi pan sketch"
"I really, really do not like that Soubi pan sketch."
"I think I should send it to my dear, dear friend Baakay"....

In. My . DREAMS!!
So fabulous, young lady. All of the above!!
