When scanning, you should always save files as .tifs. Tif files are huge and will not compress the scanned image. Then you can move it into photoshop, do some color correcting and save it as a .jpg. A file is rarely acceptable when it's simply scanned and nothing else. Typically a scanner lamp will over blow the image, making it look too light, washed out or the hues will be completely off. It's the equivalent of using too much camera flash when taking a picture. I'd recommend adjusting the levels, hues and saturation in photoshop (or any image manipulation program), for starters. You'll more than likely produce more accurate results. The scan will resemble the way the cel looks in person.

When I get back around some form of regularity I will play with that and see what it does to the red. I have never done that. ^_^ It will give me something to play with while in FL.
