Happy New Year!
It's now 2007, the Year of the Giant Robo!
This marks the 40th Anniversary of the GR manga by Mr.Mitsuteru Yokoyama. Which was the inspiration for Yasuhiro Imagawa's homage to all of Yokoyama's works: Giant Robo - The Animation!
The 1st episode of the new GR-Anime is due out online 1/19-31/07 for free then available on PPV 2/9-22/07. All 13 episodes will be offered monthly.
Well, we can't forget the real reason we're here: The GR-OVA!!!
Check out these entertaining GR themed AMV:
All by njaba
Please excuse any errors on my part, I'm at the mercy of the interweb and translation software...
Ivan vs. Alberto
A straight GR re-edit to make it appear that Ivan and Alberto are fighting. Pretty interesting.
73 Mai Way-GRgisshu Love-
A GR 'disco' video of a Papaya Suzuki with Oyaji Dancers song.
Pro Golfer Chujo?
Looks like AMV starring Chujo set to a TV theme song? I found a clip of an old TV Drama called "Professional Golfer Reiko" the music doesn't match, so the titles just might be a coincidence...needs further research...
ESP Boy Big Fire
Of course, the original 1973 animated Babel 2nd OP theme redone using GR footage of Big Fire...
Project X - Shizuma Drive
Project X was a TV series and is (still?) manga that featured significant accomplishments of promenent Japanese businesses and people. This is the 'intro' to the Shizuma Drive episode...
Mr. Magnificent 10?
Based on the OP theme of Mr. Satan (Akumakun) [NOT DBZ]...
BF Group Vs. Interpol
Sorry, the interweb failed to help me ID this one. Song sounds very familiar...
Together We are Old Men?
Alberto and Taiso battle as they replace Cure Black and Cure White in the OP theme to Pretty Cure.
Impact Transfer Student
Alberto as the star of this OP theme from Gainax's 1991 OVA Blazing Transfer Student. A parody of a parody = funny ^_^
Well, that's all I got for now, but feel free to add any GR related info/trivia/questions/links/etc.

Oh yeah!
Looks like the 1st episode is 'Free'. Can't say if the rest will be, but each episode will be aired online first, then on Pay-Per-View Cable. *crosses fingers* Here's hoping all will be free online.
In order to see the freebie, you have to register. Don't know Japanese? No problem, they were kind enough to walk you through the process.
Not sure if it's worth the effort?
Latest trailer at YouTube. I'm liking the music on the trailer, I hope it is a sign of things to come.
