Considering the number of items I've purchased from Mandarake, they should send me a Zenbu for free. :)

..But, since they don't, I'd be willing to help fund future Zenbu purchases so that I may increase my donation to the Mandarake fund.

BTW...aren't Paypal fees for payments less than $5 generally much steeper than higher increments? I suppose it depends on the account type, but, if that's the case, should we pay on a rotating schedule(ie. I pay $5 for Zenbu 34 along with 5 other users and then other users pay for the next Zenbu, and then we six pay again, etc.)?

I'd be willing to chip in. I just registered on Mandrake, so I hope to participate in some auctions soon.

By going through with this, you can be in copyright infringement with Mandarake by selling the pages and keeping the profits.

Be very weary going through with this operation. I would not suggest doing this with any sort of profit.

We're not doing this for profit. It's a lot of work on Zetsuai's part for absolutely no compensation. All we ask is that people who do not buy the zenbu consider participating. No one is being forced and we're certainly not trying to convince anyone not to buy the zenbu. You can see some voted "No" and "Not sure," we expected plenty of people would not be interested. That's not including those who read this post and did not comment or vote.

I'd hate for people to be scared away by your copyright statements. The zenbu will be purchased lawfully and no profit will be made on our part. Mandarake, as usual, will profit from their auctions.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please ask.

I'm surprised they even bother with a printed catalog in the first place. Having an online catalog would be more cost effective and better advertisement. Even JC Penney caught on to that.

My intentions were purely for everyone's well being.

Say what you may, but those lil' paypal transaction you would take would be all Mandarake would need to go after you. Even if you "broke even" or not.

Copying the Zenbu, and sharing it for free...Nothing they'll do there. But, as soon as you make any type of profit, even if it's a penny and you have any traceable transactions, especially electronic, it's not to hard tp make it a legal matter.

You could even put this lil' project on the lines of Hong Kong DVDs. All they want to do is copy legal media and sell it illegally, for a profit. There's a Copyright symbol on the Zenbu....If you care about it, don't sell it, for any type of profit.

Although I'm not versed in property rights laws, I would think that Mandarake wouldn't be interested in busting a group of collectors(who ultimately do business on their site in one form or another) who are pitching together to buy a Zenbu so they can find out what items they might be interested in purchasing. Not only would the cost to subpoena those records cost them a small fortune, but they'd also lose quite a bit of their clientele.

I suppose I liken it to a bunch of kids putting their pennies together so they can buy a candy bar to share amongst each other...but, perhaps there are some out there who are more knowledgeable than I on this subject.

I totally agree with you ... (^_^) ...

but I also understand what ms.poe is saying ... I would do it without collecting money for it if I could ... but as long as I'm jobless etc., I unfortunately can't afford to buy all the zenbu every time on my own ... that's the only reason why I ask for help in that point ...

and a big thank you to all of you, who are willing to help me ... (^___^) ...

Japanese bidders can magazine for free, since the cost to participate cost the same as buying the magazine to participate. I can give you mine if you want. Itd prob cost less than $30 to ship too. I usually get it a week or so before they're released online. I won't offer to scan pages...that oughta get some people to participate.

If thats the case, I can take money for just the shipping. Asking for shipping to ship a book isn't illegal.

Odd in this time of age, but there are quite a few people who still bid by the old method and as well as for daily auction.

that sounds like the best idea ever!!! :yay :bny /thx :bny :yay
thank you so much for this suggestion ... (^___^) ...

that's the perfect solution ... and if I remember right the shipping even with fast EMS shouldn't be more than 1500yen from Japan to Germany ... so we don't have to collect much money ... (^_^) ...

if you're really ok with sending it to me, that would be the biggest support I can think of ... thank you very very much ... :bow2: ...
