I have to admit thats a very Nice Goku cel. But the best? Not so sure of that, cause I haven't seen all the Goku cels out

Sure looks that way. It's a great Goku cel, I'd love to have it, but I've seen better.

I seem to recall a YJ auction about 3 or 4 years ago that was basically in the style of the Dream Sequence Trunks, except it was Goku. I believe there was a background and a chi layer. If my memory hasn't been totally shot, I think Goldknight put a massive bid for it, but lost. I'm sure she can confirm or deny this for me. I think it went for at least 2K USD just when the DBZ market was starting to decline. That cel, in my mind, was the best Goku I'd ever seen thus far. I wish I kept a jpg of the shot. Doh! That being said, the current Goku cel being discussed is pretty sweet.

I wish I could have been around during the height of the DBZ craze. Though I might have had a lot few cels than I do now with the prices I have heard of.

While that is definitely an amazing cel of Goku; a full figure pan cel of him in just about any form is better to me. When he first went Super Saiyan, when he first went Super Saiyan 3 (soda has the perfect sketch of it). But as far as regular sized cels go, that one is amazing.

Thank god I don't like Goku enough to pour money into that auction. But boy it will be a nice battle

Yep GB....that was me. However it wasn't nearly 2K. You're thinking of a different cel. I did win that dream sequence Goku. I later sold it though to focus my collection on Trunks. I have to agree with some of the others. Hardly the best. I will admit it's cool looking. I guess I'm biased though. I can't stand artwork from early Z.

I imagine there are those who don't care for later Z artwork. It's just a matter of how much YOU like it as to how much it's worth.

Am not the biggest fan of earlier DBZ artwork as well but that is one I would consider.

This one shows a lot of rage but i'm gonna passed this up because its a bit identical pose to the one i have. The only drawback is the contrast is too high because of the painted white background.

That's a pretty cool looking cel of Goku. Although I'm not a collector of DBZ but browsing some other galleries there are some others that catches my eyes more. Still nice tho.

It's nice, but not the best IMO. Now if it was say, Goku going SSJ or 3, then I would agree.
