So I was reading my monthly letter from my loan officer tonight and ran across something I thought I'd share. (Yes, I have a loan officer. It's called a mortgage. )
As I'm sure you guys know, our personal information gets sold all the time without our permission. Unfortunately, it's all legal. But there's a number or website you can go to that might help stop some of that. I think it's kinda like the "don't call" list except I'd call this a "don't sell my info" list.
I just did the 5 year opt out because you can do that online. I'd prefer to do the permanent one, but greatly dislike having to mail in things like this. I always forget or lose the form somewhere.
It does work... we were on it for some time and what a blessed relief it was. It was quite obvious when the time period ran out :X And do you think I could find that site again?
