LOL...Yes...That's where my new gallery is at, but it's under password protection. I'm still working on getting it up and running. I'll create you a password to view the gallery once it's done ^_^/!

I do have an Eva cel, and want more, but now money is super tight. And, since all of the eva cels I want are thousands of dollars....Yeah...LOL!

Knowing there are so many people appreciate my collection and noticed that viewers really like one particular cel that I also treasure are great motivation for me to keep the gallery updated.
RS has a few of those features as well... you see number of visitors, every cel shows how many views it gets, etc. Jason has done a very nice job with it.

Anywho...

The reason I chose Rubberslug is because it gave me time. I already have my own domain that I host a tiny percentage of my shitajiki collection and you know what I never want to update it... to time consuming. I no longer have the time to sit around making a website, nor do I have the desire. It was all fine and dandy when I was younger and could stay up every night, all night but anymore I need my sleep to function properly. Basically, I would rather spend the little free time I have on matters that mean more to me, like actually updating.

Plus I have and continue to meet really wonderful people at Rubberslug... either through chat or feedback :gossip:

lol! :P when i first saw this thread, i thought to myself... wha... huh?!? there's a bubberslug??? *doh*

i joined rubberslug thanks to the wonderful and MIA lady zatara (wherever you are girl, THANK YOU!) who kept buggin my lazy butt to join. i had quite the growing collection *huggles her unicorn cels*... but i had no idea the benefits of a cel-collecting community until now. it has really helped me make friends/find new cels/discover new galleries which is why i still prefer RS to having a private gallery.

You think you're old, wait until you get to my age :l

I don't think there is right or wrong response in this discussion. I spent about 3 days (5 hours a day) during last Christmas to redo my web site, most of the time was repetitive task putting the image on the page and I did spend 30 minutes reading the Help to figure out how to create a drop down menu and frame. After that, all I need to maintain is to copy an old page and save it as a new page to post new cels. Using tools like Dreamweaver or FrontPage, you really don't need to "code". I input the text and graphic on the screen and the program writes the HTML codes for me. At the same time, you don't have to get into this whole web development effort at all by take advantage rubberslug.com and enjoy your cels collection. Personally, I think the most difficult part of web development is how to design a theme and the story board to tell viewers who I am and guide them to what I want them to see.

I do admit I don't get much interaction with fellow collectors running my own web site. Rubberslug sounds like a big community with strong group interaction. I am very happy to join this forum and enjoy all the conversation and information. I need to thank an eBay seller who recommended this forum to me. I am sure he is a member, but I don't know his screen name.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
