I never waited for guys to confess to me, they were always too... wimpy? I dunno what it was. But I'm like iwakuralain16, too impatient to wait for the guy to make the first move.

As far as what's better, there's no right answer. If you know he likes you, go for it. There's nothing to say women shouldn't be assertive when it comes to romantic matters. It's always flattering when someone asks you out or tells you they like you.

Good luck Jen-kun! If you can't manage it on your own, call me up and put him on the phone with me. I'll play cupid for you both! :nya:

Ahhhh so much good advise, it feels superfluous to add my input.

But I will anyway.

1. I agree with NSP completely.

2. You should let him know that you find him interesting (aka like him) and would like to spend more time with him.

Depending on what kind of guy you want, you should:
...a. wait for him to do the asking.
(once you've let him know that you will say yes, that might aleviate some of his anxiety and help him to make a move with out the worry of rejection)
...b. be the one who wears the pants in the relationship and tell him that he's going on a date with you. (at which point he'll become arroused or scared depending on the guy)
...c. ask him to hang out with you sometime and see if spending time together as friends allows him the time to get more comfortable speaking with you so that he can speak his mind with out trailing off somewhere

So many choices in the world!! Any one of them could be right, it's just up to you what you want.

But most important...

Have fun out there!!

I don't think you should let yourself be bound by gender stereotypes.

I'm old fashioned because I think the guy should ask the girl out but sometimes guys are clueless and you need to ask them out. :D

I suppose the saying, 'if you don't ask, you don't get' applies to this thread well!

Let us know how it goes Jen...hope it all goes well! :)

Maybe you can test the ground by asking him out for lunch during lunchtime. Since he has got to eat anyway, it won't seem like you are coming on too strong. Then during lunch, send vibes his way by looking into his eyes attentively, smiling, blushing and some flirting would be great.

If it goes well, you can ask him out for lunch again the next day. Or during lunch, you can start talking abt a movie that you really wana watch but there's no one to go with and see his reaction....

Some guys juz need a lil' prodding

In this age, anyone can ask the other person out whether they are a guy or gal. I mean life is too short to keep guessing. Anyway, romance is gd for your health!

Need another choice: Depends on the people involved. :D

But hey, screw up your courage and find out! You'll never know if you don't ask, and it may haunt you years later to find out he actually had a big crush on you but was just too shy to say anything.

GO FOR IT!!!!

And definitely just remember: it won't ruin your life if he laughs and says heck, no! :) It's just the quick way to find out it's time to look elsewhere. :friends:

thanks for the advice everyone^^. the reason i asked is because i am usually the "traditional" type; but, i'd like to get a bit more aggressive about pursuing such matters. i really wanted a broad opinion on it and i thought i'd ask you^^.

and i seem to like the "tiger" in me lately.

the sticky thing about my situation is that i work with him--but i only see him once a week and we talk, etc. hopefully, he'll be around and inclined to listen to me.

i will keep you all informed. thanks again
