OMG Sailor Moon on Anime Museum

Hi! Can someone explain the significance of this scene?

Sure this scene comes from the end of the Sailor Moon S Season.

The rest is a really big spoiler so only view if you realize that this is the big finale of the S Season:

Sailor Saturn jumps into the...well sort of evil hole that she created as the evil mistress 9 to engulf the Earth...in order to destroy it. She doesn't come out for a while, following an emotional scene in which Sailor Moon finally transforms into Super Sailor Moon again and jumps into the hole herself because, of course SHE is the only one who can destroy it. After the world is saved, out comes Sailor Moon in this beautiful pan cel, carrying the reborn baby Hotaru (aka Sailor Saturn).

I'm sure someone else can explain that better! But if you haven't watched you should, it is a really powerful ending to a great season!

Bri did an excellent job explaining this scene. I took the following from a cel I have that precedes that beautiful pancel. It pretty much tells the before and during. I also added a bit about the actual pancel too.

Sailor Moon, desperately trying to change into Super Sailor Moon, continues to shout "Crisis, Make-up!" over and over again. Sailor Saturn has decided that it was time to end Pharaoh 90's plan on dominating the world, so she tells Sailor Moon to stay put while she sacrifices her life to fight Pharoah 90. Sailor Moon, because she is determined to help end the destruction, does not understand why she cannot transform into Super Sailor Moon under these dire circumstances. It is her determination and will to fight that causes her ginzuishou to react, thus growing more powerful and saving Sailor Saturn from her ultimate fate: death.
She enters the "bubble" that will end the world, and upon doing so rescues Saturn and destroys the "bubble". Sailor Moon emerges (the cel here) with a reborn baby Hotaru (Sailor Saturn), finally ending the campaign of Pharoah 90's destruction.

Hm. Maybe I collect the wrong series, because whenever I check Museum, cels from my shows have been there for months if not YEARS.

Speaking of unloved series, Giant Robo has some cels that have been there for a looooong time. There was an update to the GR category not long ago, but they were not GR cels.

As you can see, there's a HUGE and obvious mistake!!!

I've told them about this problem months ago, but as you can see, nothing's changed.

Thank You guys! I think I'll be starting Sailor Moon Tonight. I'll be going to buy some dvd's probably in a few days!

Those are great descriptions and in a pm from an anonymous lurker convinced that I need to get through as many episodes as I can right away!

SO, HOW CAN YOU GO THROUGH LIFE WITHOUT KNOWING HARUKA AND MICHIRU?!!

P.s. Now I need to find out who haruka and michiru are.

p.s.s. and probably need to find a way to fund the cels...

RoboFlonne: I agree you must meet Michiru and Haruka ^.~ Just watch the WHOLE S season. And good luck finding money to fund cels from the S Season!!!

She never does talk about what happens to her in there... judging by the look on her face in the cel I would imagine it was pretty horrific.
