Question about my gallery *EDITED*

I am trying some new things out and was wondering if this actually works. On my Street Fighter Alpha cels, next to thumb of the sketches there is a blank box and when you click its supposed to play a clip of the scene the cel takes place in. Please let me know if it works. Thanks!

*EDIT* I changed it up. See what you think.

It only shows up if I click on the blank box and open up a new window.

Works for me Harry. Only thing is you don't know the box is there unless you move your mouse cursor around until the hand cursor appears. I'm using firefox as my browser so I don't know if its the same or different for IE & Opera users.

Yeah thats how its supposed to be. I dont think u can do it any other way.

it is possible in other ways ... did it myself ...
to use a new window isn't necessary and it tooks very long to load

It worked fine here and it loaded quickly. It is a cool addition!

I wonder if it might work better as an embedded link in the main text, though. Some people don't read the text, but the different color of the link might catch their eye and get them to check it out.

I think the Ryu one takes longer to load than the Vega one because the clip is bigger!

It looks cool but you might want to work on making the link to the clip visible to visitors. Otherwise, they may not know those clips are available, unless they read this thread. It loaded and played fine either way. Cool idea Harry!

I too say it works, but after reading the replies, I'm having doubts as to my setup.

In IE and FF, when I click the 'invisible' box the browser kicks open another blank window and then my Windows Media Player opens and plays the clip.

Is this the desired effect, or should the clip play in the new window?
I'm hoping its the latter and its just my browser settings...

When I tried it, the new window opened like it should, but then I got the Save file dialog box. The only way to view it was to save it to my hd.

(I use IE6 btw)
