honeymoon travel.. where to??

Post by Shampoo »

Hey guys! :D

I thought it might be interesting to pose this question to my fellow betarians
as to where they think might be the best or most inteeresting place to honeymoon
if they were getting hitched?

I'm in the middle of wedding planning and me and rayd are down to the final T's and I's to cross and dot.

But we cant decide where exactly to honeymoon to. :emb :rollin
Probably because we are *too* flexible lol!
:nuts

So we came up w/ a list of possible countries. :blob

We might end up going w/ the cheapest but I was curious on other ppl's thoughts.

What would you choose? /hmm

Before you all say :bow JAPAN :bow LOL
:hitting:
keep in mind I've been there already and plan to go again real soon after the honeymoon. ^_~

Anywho I still had it as an option! XD

Ah my beloved Shampoo.... Err... (saves for another time..)

Anyways, I voted for Japan.. I know you specified you already have been there and plan to go there after the honeymoon but honesty the other places dont really interest me (hardcore Otaku!) lol... Anyways you can always go to Okinawa or check out Kyoto (if you haven't been to either). Or just pick a random city and go with it... If not Japan.. I vote for Italy.

Does this mean that Niagra Falls is out of the question :?

I would suggest Italy, lot of history there

My vote is for Spain.

My advice is to take a tour there. Driving around Spain can be a nightmare, especially if you decide to visit some of the smaller towns such as Toledo where, no only is it high up on a hill, but it was built at a time where cars were nonexistent, and the roads really haven't been adjusted to accomidate vehicles.

But, if you'd prefer to go to one area only, then, I suggest the Costa del Sol area, especially Valencia and Sevilla. Both cities are absolutely fantastic, and you could easily do a few days there. The best time to go is probably around mid-May as it's not too hot and there are some local festivals that occur in that region.

I voted Spain, but Italy would also be very cool. I would reccomend going to someplace you haven't been before. If you haven't been to Spain it would be good, since you speak the language it could make getting around a little easier.

I can't decide between Italy and Spain. I went to Barcelona and thought it was so beautiful! I also have been to Italy twice and have been to Florence, Rome and Venice, all of which I can reccommend. The month you go is important though. August is the least fun time to go to Europe (at least Italy I discovered) as many Europeans go on vacation themselves and the towns are jammed with tourists. I loved Italy in the fall when grapes & olives are being harvested. You can't believe how incredible fresh pressed olive oil tastes!

I'd expect there to be a lot of Japan posts, simply considering your sampling audience :sweatdrop

Have fun, regardless of where you go :-D

Thats probably b/c they all go to Edinburg's Fringe Festival... o.O. Tons of fun - But SOOOOO many peolpe >_<. I think I was told the city's pretty much triples its population or more once the festival starts. But its good kicks to watch all the street preformers! as long as fire jugglers, sword swallowers, and contortionists don't bother you. There's a long list of other performers and such... but yeah. ^_^
