Anyone else POed with Adult Swim tonight?
I know that CN prempted Naruto and other shows for their block of Spirited Away & Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo earlier tonight.
But WTF!!! I tune in to see Bleach , Blood + & Eureka 7 and what do I see but some poor flash animation that they might consider showing on Sunday nights when no one is watching. I mean I even went online to adultswim.com and they show the same schedule as my directv screen.
All who care should register a complaint like I did via their contact link http://www.adultswim.com/gen/contact/index.html
I can just see those on the east coast who tivo these programs finding this garbage recorded instead of the programs we all expected to see.

Well April fools or not , the stuff they put up was pure cr@# and was not worth the air time. There had been rumors of them puting up stuff from the new ATHF movie for April fools day but what they put up was so poor it does not even pass for art school rejects.

Haha. That actually is exactly what happened to me. I recorded it and come back to watch it like 30 mins after it ran so I could skip all the commercials to find what you are talking about.JWR wrote: I can just see those on the east coast who tivo these programs finding this garbage recorded instead of the programs we all expected to see.

I have actually seen parts from that show before, but I thought they canceled it. Or at least, like you were saying, put it on some god-awful time slot no one would watch.

While I was a little dissappointed with Naruto, I knew it wasn't going to be on tonight. Bleach not coming on as well does kinda piss me off, since it was programmed to do so.

Yall do have to admit though, this is better than last year's April Fools in which Adultswim so thoughtful made farting noises throughout all the animes. Turning in for FMA was an interesting time. I think the post is still around....somewhere.

That's just your personal opinion.

Yep, I felt the same way as you JWR...it took me until checking on Blood+ to realize this was their April Fools joke...very disappointing!
btw, I sent feedback to Adult Swim

I'm totally with ya JWR. I was not happy last night. I can't believe that movie crap and then to top it off they can never make up their minds over the anime on adult swim. It changes so much.

*nods* I turned my TiVo on to watch what I thought was anime to find that poor excuse for entertainment. Needless to say...it didn't stay on my hard drive for very long.
I'm still not a happy camper since the second go round also featured it. At least when they had the flatulent FMA and GITS episodes for April Fools day the second airing of them were clean. ^_^;

I think that happens quite often.

I really liked the April Fools joke they played in 2004.vampyreshoujo wrote:Yup - I couldn't agree more. Too bad their "jokes" never seem to be funny (to me)...
When showed the first ep of Witch Hunter Robin again, but this time they drew mustaches on all the characters. I especially liked when they put a mustache and sombrero on one of the crows, and when they drew a face on the back of the bald guys head.
That was a fun one.
