Bleach and Naruto news

After the extended arcs of really poorly done filler, the formerly hot properties of Naruto and Bleach have experienced serious ratings drops which have not been recovered even by the start of new arcs based on the manga. In a unprecedented move to regain some of the momentum behind the series, Shonen Jump and Studio Pierrot have announced a shocking strategy. Starting on April 31st, 2007, the two series will combine into one! The new series, entitled "Bleach: the Naruto Chronicles" will feature a combination of the only the best elements of characters design and plotlines from each show. According to the summary of the first episode, "15 year old Ichigo Naruto must learn to gain acceptance from the villagers around him as he also wrestles to control the spirit of the nine-tailed shinigami that has been bound into his body since birth."

That's too bad...Ichigo looks pretty good in Naruto's new gear.

ok..ok, I know he's your man, Perv-chan.....I'll stay away, I promise.

(Imagines how the English dub would be when "Believe it!" becomes part of Ichigo's everyday vocabulary.)

Proven: Put anything on Ichigo, and he still looks good.

I'd have to actually WATCH Naruto to get any of this anyway.

Actually, no. More similarities between Ishida and Sasuke.

Both my faves. Same Japanese VA. Dark hair. Angsty.

OMG if Sasuke whipped out a needle and thread and started arts and crafts, I might actually pee myself from laughter. And then I'd hunt down that sketch set with a fervor that would scare all.

Hmmm . . . I didn't make the connection to Sasuke. Then again, I haven't watched Naruto, and only read part of the manga. I really didn't recognize the outfit. Is it from the "new" series?

His face is just a bit too femme for me. Like I should look down and see clevage rather than muscle.

But hey, it doesn't really matter, right? We've all got our own definitions of hotness and how much is too much.
