My gallery has just experienced a wonderful CLAMP-filled update! I've even added a new series.

But the crowning jewel of this update (to me) is undoubtedly this CCS hanken genga

Wow! An amazing couple of additions! Hanken Genga are always a special fine because of the quality of work, and that looks beautiful. I also completely agree with you about the quality of work in the X Backgrounds. Those are about as good as you can find from any show, and that one is particularly eye catching. I hope to see it up close sometime soon. Combined with the other new cels, this is quite an update!

Such an incredible find -- just love the amazing linework -- and of the ellusive Dark Card, as well -- too cool!!

I also like the full MKR cel cet-up -- I love 'complete scenes'

Congratulations on your new acquisitions. Your collection continues to grow in breadth and depth. I especially like your new Rayearth cel of Presea and Hikaru. That cel is very unusual and from a sequence from which I have seen no other cels. And alas, a more dubious honor, welcome to the pocketbook emptiers club! CCS hankens, both genga and cels have a way of making your money disappear faster than a slot machine in Vegas! Glad to see you could find such quality cels in a wayward market such as now.

... where I gave a nifty PowerPoint on the implicit theory of the previous 24 annual conference meetings

... and I found this nifty surprise when I checked in to Beta!

I won't do more than ditto the kudos on the Kamui and the Dark/Light hanken (except to say that the latter is not in my CCS TV Art book for this story arc, so it must be for something else: maybe a card or mini-poster? I don't immediately recognize it).

And so I'll say that the MKR and Clamp Campus Detective additions are really tasty, especially the one of Presea doing magic on poor Hikaru. That must be from one of the very early episodes, as she doesn't have armor yet. The armored close-up is also intense and a very strong addition to your gallery. The cute OPs from CCD are also neat, and I've never seen a cel from this series that wasn't artistically strong.

Glorff: That is a wonderful compliment, coming from the man who has one of the best X collections in North America! I saw that Kamui cel on Y!J and simply hoped that no one else had noticed him (which apparently they didn't...)

Cordelia: Thank you! I shall try my level best to take the 'perfect' photo of that background, so I can share it with everyone. The full image is just astounding!

frozentime: I'm quite excited to own such a stunning hanken genga from CCS. They're not exactly "common" and this one happened to contain my two favorite Clow Cards. Lucky!

Samiamew: Ah, yes...the elusive "Dark". While finding a cel of her will still be a dream of mine, having this hanken genga is still just so very wonderful. She and The Light look so adorable together! The MKR set-up didn't scan as well as I'd hoped, but I didn't dare mess with it, since everything was stapled together...

Kira: Yay! Someone noticed my poor, strange CCS OP cel!

Kizu: Thanks! I was so pleased to find a nice Kamui cel for my modest X/1999 collection.

Graymouser: Thanks! I cannot wait to see a certain Clow Card show up in your collection... *grin*

Rallihir: This hanken sold at a price comparable to previous Mandarake sales, so I guess I can't complain. But spending that much on a single piece of paper certainly makes me question my sanity! *lol* It's funny...there was actually another cel from the scene with Presea/Hikaru when I bought this one. I didn't think it was as nice, so I didn't get it. But they were both up for sale at the same time. Both with matching backgrounds. I wonder if another Beta member bought it?

Funshine: Yay CGT love! I was in love with that Casa Blanca cel from the moment I saw it. Too bad she's in so few episodes. And I'm happy that they just announced R1 DVD releases for CGT!

Ashenfairy: Thank you! While I know you'll be a constant visitor of that cel, allow me assure you at the billion hit counts on your new Yue cel are almost all mine! *lol*

Syan: CCS hanken genga = love

I do love my random CCD OP cels, too. The school mascot is just so funny looking! XD

Duotrouble: Thanks, DT! Kamui is certainly getting lotsa love from this crowd!

I certainly fell for that cel at first sight! Surprisingly, X is one of the few CLAMP shows that I'm willing to drop the big $$$$ on.

I'll hopefully gather my willpower and update with my xxxHOLiC layouts later this week. There are...a lot of them...
