Sorta odd. I had some free time so I was searching around trying to find DVD or LD versions of certain anime. And this turns up:
Sunday, May 27th 2007 - Bandai Entertainment Goes CLAMP (04:36 PM EST): At Bandai Entertainment's panel last night at FanimeCon, they announced that they're finally going to go back to their first releases as AnimeVillage back in the late 90's and bring out CLAMP School Detectives on DVD. Longtime readers will remember the myriad reasons for this never coming out before, from bad masters, missing masters, no way to create a dub as well as not having the DVD rights.

The only "fansubs" I've been able to find was a digitilized copy of the subtitled VHSs--kind of like a ripped copy of a DVD, only I'm sure that it's harder to do.
You know, this is very ironic as I was discussing how difficult it is to find the show on VHS just before I read this topic.
