In my own collection it has and will always be this one...
http://otakusin.rubberslug.com/gallery/ ... mID=174893
Reason: I admire Relena, I honestly wish I was more like her. She is strong in her beliefs, constantly standing true to herself even if it goes against people she loves. I also love the fact she wants people in her life but does not need them, can continue on without the help of others but will graciously accept it when it is given.
Anywho from another's gallery it has to be this one from Nene's gallery...

Reason: This particular cel from the Chidori death scene always hits me extremely hard due to Yuuhi's absolute shock (the sketch shows his expression in great detail). Not only does the cel represent such a selfless act of pure love, it also at the same time represents to me regret. The regret of to little to late, reminds me to let the people I love know just that... that I love them.

I empathise with your sentiments about it completely, Cynthia. I think you've pin-pointed why I wanted it as soon as I saw it. Yuuhi's look of shock is devastating and full of regret as well as realisation. You really feel that time just stopped and everything became clear. Both that and the one I mentioned earlier in this thread have an impact on me but I chose the most recent one since I still can't believe how lucky I was to get it. ^_^

The explanation is rather complicated.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Without any doubt the most emotional time in DBZ is when Vegetas says goodbye to his son. First time ever he hug him http://www.rubberslug.com/user/df04a7ef ... CN0841.JPG then he sacrifies himself http://akadro.rubberslug.com/gallery/in ... mID=204331

Out of what I have posted, I guess I'd say my Makoto/Yuiichi Kanon sketch here:Krafty wrote:Which single piece of anime art in your collection, or another's, evokes the strongest emotion for you?

I think the emotional effect of most of my cels has been lost on me because I've had them for so long.

Well I guess it depends on what type of emotion....
My most meaningful cel to me is this... Eiji&Saitou
http://hajimenokizu.com/cels-sketch/?p=842
This one still leaves me stunned too. Saitou&Kenshin
http://hajimenokizu.com/cels-sketch/?p=311
As for what's not in my gallery...
I of course love this cel of kittens Kaoru&Kenshin
http://kittens.rubberslug.com/gallery/i ... mID=201439
And also this cel of baakay - Sano&Kenshin
http://baakay.com/anime/pathcel.php?sho ... Others&c=5

I use my emotions to determine what cels to buy. After awhile the impact kinda wears off, but:
This one does get a reaction from me, no matter how many times I look at it: http://sugarcels.rubberslug.com/gallery ... mID=174282
I don't really know why.
