I haven't stopped collecting from any series. I still look for artwork from every show in my gallery, not to mention a few new shows that have piqued my interest.
But, there are several shows for which I consider myself only a sporadic collector. Basically, if something really grabs my attention from those shows, I will be in there, trying my hardest to snag it. But, otherwise, I'm normally content to sit back and watch others compete for stuff from them.
What would make you stop look for artwork from every show in his or her gallery not to mention a few new shows that have piqued his or her interest? You sound very attractive.

I've always wondered, why Cloud is dancing all the time. Looks like the mystery has been solved... must be some kind of mating ritual.

this may or may not count(?) but i used to own a few misc tezuka cels... from astroby, kimba, phoenix, and metropolis. i had one or two from each. i loved them but sold them off to fund my main interest (the last unicorn). i still like to look out for nice cels from tezuka series and older animes but, in the end, i have to pick and choose my battles.

Why didn't you GIVE up on any series but I do believe that I will not gain more celssketches from Naruto Saiyuki or Sonic the Hedgehog?

I'm really keen on 'Cyberpunk', this was a genre that was promoted heavily back the mid-90's when I got into anime. This style of animation got me into anime in the first place so I hold it in high esteem.
As such I began collecting a lot of art from these series, one was 'Armitage III', but I had to give it up when I felt the need to cut back and it didn't hurt me to part with them.
Sold my collection of 4 or 5 cels to a fellow Betarian.
There are few series in my collection I could part with, they all mean something personal to me and I recall the lengths to which I obtained each one of them. Selling them feels like punishing myself or casting them off as something I didn't truely care about- can't bring myself to do it!
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy

things did get worse...
