my thoughts on this post:
if i want it, then i get it,
if its not out there, i will find it,
if i cant find it, i will wait for it,
i will wait for it until it comes,
when it arrives, i will love it,
once that is done then i will search for it again.
as you can see i am an advid collector of juunana gou cels.
i will do anything to get one, even if i have to ask my dad to borrow some change.
lol
i dont think that i will ever stop collecting-my g/f wants me to stop collecting. she thinks that it is a waste of money and doesn't see it as a hobby. i collect cels, dougas, gengas, and action figures. got a ton of money invested in all of them---i wont be exact but i will say near $7000.00 in all. she would love for me to sell and buy a house. lol yeah right and then have to take care of it myself like cutting the lawn and not surfing the web for juunana gou cels, yeah right.
i see myself slowing down in purchasing cels but only because most people who have juunana gou cels are not selling -*cough*- only collecting *cough*. so i will have to wait for them to sell.
we all know who we are and i never point or say names.
so with that said i will end this post with a cheery note.
sell me your JUUNANA GOU cels so i can save up to buy my house.

I am at hte phase of realizing that you cant really collect all of the series that you want, but I can't bring myself to part with anything yet.
Maybe once I get everything posted I can swap some of them for others, but I dont know about selling them.
I still have all of my swords, and dragons, and coins, and lithographs, and most of my cars.
I guess I won't quit.

Gee...how many of these previous posters are still collecting? ?^_^?
I have no idea how long I'll continue collecting. I've discovered over time that I can only collect from the same show for so long before I feel like moving onto something else. I may forever keep the door open for some series, but at some point items from a series I have nothing from becomes more attractive than adding to a title of which I already have something. There's only a finite space to store stuff and only a limited interest in acquiring more than four dozen images of the same character.
I've somewhat had my fill from cel series. I've only bought three cels so far this year. I'm quite certain I can go another year collecting sketches, but acquisitions will continue to slow. At some point...possibly two to four years from now, there could be very little that interests me and this hobby will become only a minor time-spender.
But who knows where the future may go?

lol. Guess i am in the limited interest groupKeropi wrote: There's only a finite space to store stuff and only a limited interest in acquiring more than four dozen images of the same character.![]()

As far as the thread goes I see my interest in this hobby going strong. As long as there is nice JK sketches to be bought, or one piece sketches to buy, or YUA cels to buy, I will stay in this scene a bit longer.

Lol this threads older than my collection
Forever is a long time, and I can't really say if I think I'll go that long or not. Nor do I see myself stopping in the next few years. I do admit that my interest has been slipping a little as of late, but that's more because I've been focusing on a single series rather than the eighteen I normally would focus on.
I'll live in the moment for now, and see how it works out
On a side note it really is interesting to see who's still actively collecting (as far as I can tell), and who's dropped off the map, so to speak.
