Trying to find information on a japanese doll I own.

Post by Sugarflower »

I have a lovely 13 in tall japanese doll I purchased a few years ago from eBay. Her hands, feet, and face are all made of a porcelain type material. Does anyone know of a website or forum that would help me ID her? I'd love to find out what year she was made, what artist/company created her, if she belongs to a collection of dolls, etc. The seller didn't have much info on her other than she was old and a bit dusty/dirty from being in storage. It's possible she was made around the 1980's but as far as I can tell there is not ID # or writing on her or the stand she is placed on.

I'll try to post some pics of her soon when I take her out of storage.

Try asking NotSirPhobos. :) He might know. He deals with Japanese antiques and such.

I will try to PM NSP sometime soon. Hopefully after I get some pictures taken of my doll. I hope to pick her up from storage tomorrow. Then I'll be able to post some pics of her in a day or so. :)
