I love those Kata. :OMG

I just don't get why the artists don't sell prints of most of those. It seems lik most of the stuff in the deviant art shop is blah......I would kill for prints of most of those pieces. :drool

They are beautiful aren't they!?! ^_^

There are some really nice ones that do have prints available, but you have to search through DA. Plus some people do have prints available, but the only way to find out about that is for you to contact the artists directly. ^_^

I've tried that before using emails that are posted on the artists page, but I never get replies. Such a bummer. :bawl

Because you can't sell fanart on DeviantArt.
They are copyrighted characters and by allowing people to sell them DA would be violating those copyrights and trademarks.

Some people may have prints of fanart up, that's because DA doesn't check the prints when they are submitted. Orders of those prints however, will have to be approved by the admins of DA first and they will reject fanart.

Also, DeviantArt has become more and more a place for art thiefs and juveniles who post original art work and doujinshi art work as their own. :(
In the last month alone I've had five people on DA who ripped my sketches from SMI and posted them in their galleries as theirs. It's why I decided to remove my original character art.

I guess they changed a lot or rather got really strict over the last few years? wow

So prints have to be approved before they even make it out? It's a good way of keeping an eye on all.

There been art thiefs years ago, reason people left DA few years ago, but also due to back then those new DA rules they made. DA has right to do whatever they wanted with their art. Not sure if it's still same. I haven't kept up with DA just look at art pieces and leave. But back then the artists went to gaia and other places or just left. A lot of them came back over years I noticed.
It's a shame that people steal art from others. :(

Yes, they are a lot more strict nowadays.

Deviants under 18 can not view mature content images anymore, which of course resulted in an uproar amongs the yaoi crazed 13 year old fangirls. :P

Because DA has gotten huge over the years they can't check all prints when they are submitted. They do however check when an order for a print is made and they reject all fanart prints.
Simply because DA could get in a lot of trouble if they sell copyrighted characters.

That makes sense!

I can imagine how those fangirls must of felt not being able to view those images! lol
