Fav cels and sketches from 2007

Post by Keropi »

What are your favorite cels and/or sketches that you've acquired in 2007?

I only acquired three cels in 2007:

Image Yuzuriha (I wanted a Yuzuriha cel from way back)

Image Kurumi (Doukyuusei)

Image Fuzzy young Akari (To Heart)(I was always looking for one of these too)

What are your favorites from this year?

This has to be one of my favorite's in the past year.. So many to choose from. I wanted this Yoko Pan for so long time... some beta members can attest this this.. But I secured it as mine this past June. 8)

This is my favorite cel addition this past year. This one joined my gallery back in Jan. This is a perfect cel showing Miyuki & Natsumi perfectly.

Keropi:

The Kurumi and chibi Akari are precious Terrance!
:love2 :love2
Love the expression on Akari especially <3

I feel silly posting right after ZB and EoP's amazing cel choices
:emb
they are really lovely
:hello

As for my favs, theres been a plethora of cel-wishlists
I've been able to cross off this yr-- which is very odd for me.
Since I only really collect older cel-based shows, I never
seem to find any quality shots... till now! :yay:

But 1st here is my fav sketch buy in 07:

I guess if I had to narrow it down I'd have to say that these qualify as favorites.

I'm very happy to have them in my collection (but I love all my sketches).
I did buy a few cels, but they won't get scanned and updated for a while.

What makes cels or sketches acquired this year your favorite?

Interesting question Keropi lol,

well,

I bought a Berserk cel / faye cel (in the end sold both for JK cash..)

1 - You're Under Arrest cel

1 - El Hazard cel

3 CH cels. (all in one auction but to increase my cel purchase count ill say 3..)

so total that I bought in general (individual cels) would be: 7

Cels I bought in the last year and still have... would be: 5

Total cel count in gallery... : 9 lol.
----

I never really got into buying cels. I have always perferred sketches (most likely due to Juuni Kokki). I never see myself as a heavy cel collector unless JK sketches / One Piece sketches become even harder to find then they currently are....

I've bought quite a lot of artwork in 2007, but my favorites would have to be:

CCS hanken genga:

My second favorite is actually a tie between these two pieces:
Tokyo Babylon: http://stemcels.rubberslug.com/gallery/ ... mID=209108

Or this one:

Xenogears cels are rare as anything, so I'm really happy to have been able to get this one:

He's my namesake here and on RS, and it's awesome I was able to get an OP cel of him:

I've gotten all of these basically in the last 2 months.

That Sawa cel is stunning!! :)

I think my favorite acquisitions of this year are, amusingly, both from Gundam Wing. Go figure.. it IS my favorite series after all. :D I suppose there might be more, but these two definitely take the cake. ;)

As for the number, I have no idea how many cels I've gotten this year, and most of the them are still unscanned. I've filled books... so it's is probably a scary number. I'm taking time off next week before I fly to Florida, so maybe I'll have time to catch up some then.
