There's a temptation to just bid your max if it's after the 5 minute mark and you don't think anybody outside of your deputy will bid anymore. However, if you outbid someone's max, that person could go to another deputy and bid up right underneath your max, meaning you lose a chunk of change.
Now that's not nice at all. :D

The only thing I've ever done to get back was when the other bidder was raising bids by tiny increments to let the auction extend forever. After awhile of this going on I decided to do the same thing. I prepared breakfast. I ate breakfast and continued bidding.

I wanted to see if I could set a 2 1/2 to 4 hour record for delayed auction ending, but the guy gave up too quickly. Too bad...it was getting kind of fun there. :O

Ohh..this happened to me many times

But the one that made me the most angry was with a Slayers cel I lost. It was of Zel holding a very bloody Amelia....I'm not angry at the winner that beat me...but the fact that I thought that I had won, and figured out that I was outbid. I was refreshing the thing until the last second...and I found out I lost after I got the email from the deputy (after it ended) *scream*
(DAM internal bidding system...If only they could notify us that we lost quicker)
But I was also bidding on two other cels (with Amelia and not Zel) so I guess this keeps me calm.....
So I learned to just bid my whole dam max on the last 5 mins and leave it at that...So even if I lose i won't feel that bad.

I'm over it now, but BOY was I miffed =_= I was even showing it to people - "Look at the cel I won!" - just to find out it was NEVER mine. Sigh...

I'm still on the lookout for a "pick me up" cel.
