SO I went to mexico last month...And I bought some pretty things. One was a frog...WHat keeps me from keeping this frog in my room? I think the freaking thing is real. a real FROG that was stuffed or something...And then they put a violin on it's hand.
I'm a wuss...so I don't think I could sleep with the dam thing looking at me *shivers*....
When I wanted to buy it...the lady said it was real...than I looked freaked out, so then she said it was a joke...but now that I brought the thing here...it looks pretty dam real. It's hands are "nailed" to the violin (why not use glue?)
So...is it possible to grab a frog and just soak it in varnish or something?
It just creeps me out :O

You can pretty much taxidermy anything.

I've seen the frogs you speak of.
And yes, they are real.
A friend of mine bought a trio w/ sombrero hats playing w/
maracas when his family went to Mexico as well..

Slightly OT but in Harajuku down Takeshita street,
they sell frog purses/bags.
I was so tempted to buy it but blew all my cash for the day on other
clothing goodies. :bawl

What a bizarre little thing! 8O I would probably be scared of it too, lol.
It's a shame the woman had to lie to you just to make the sale. :? Must not be much profit in mummified froggies. :P

Reminds me of a handbag my grandma used to have of an mummified alligators head. She also had a baby alligator that was similarly displayed as the froggies.

It is real...Oh sweet mercy.... :O

1).->My frog does not have a sombrero though....
2).8O The frog starts singing?....That would traumatize me for life...0_0
3).-The thing is bizarre! A freaking frog! They freaking did it to it while it was still alive...or so I think...Looks like they just trough him in the mix while he was still screaming (dam it makes me sick) Poor alligators X_X
4).-It is creepy..Yep R.I.P Mr.frog....but If I bury the thing my dog will get to it...dam it's cute Violin... X|
I love animals...but that is just cruel...I think I'll let my brother take care of it...or maybe put it in the living room....I want it far away from me...
