....your relatives ask you what you do with your free time and you can elicit blank looks from them when you tell them you collect "Japanese animation artwork".

Relative #1: "Eh?"

Relative #2: "What's that!?!"

Relative #3: "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Relative #4: "You mean like those popular comic books the High Schoolers are reading these days?"

Uh...yeah. Sort of.

When your kids have it easy on your Birthday & Christmas by getting you an online gift certificate to your favorite anime store.

When your cat can play peekaboo with you around the pile of unscanned genga on your bed in the spare bedroom you keep your computer & scanner.

When you see people with shopping carts full of 10 for a $1 ramen and are sure you have seen them walking around anime conventions before.

When everyone else at work has photos of their family and/or a pin up callender at their desk, you have pictures of on going auctions with reminders of when they end.

When the most important thing to you when you move into a new place is where/how to store your collection, and you're still sleeping on an air mattress and don't care when the rest of the furniture gets moved in.

I don't have any pictures of my family on my desk. I only have one picture of my dog. The rest of it is littered with anime stuff.

When asked where the pics of my family are, I respond, "I want to be happy at work."
