I'd die. I couldn't live without my computer, and the internet. My bf and I might have to talk to each other if I didn't have a computer. LOL. Actually that would be a pretty funny site. Complete silence :P

...have more money!!

Problem is once you have it you cannot think of life without it, comparable to having your own car. How the hell did I get around before learning to drive type thing :puzzled

I'd simply have to get my internet fix with my computer at work until my computer was fixed. However, I'm buying a second computer this summer. It's a birthday present to myself. I need it for traveling and writing.

Now if my internet connection went down, I would be a babbling fool. I conduct a lot of business using the internet so I would be at work for many extra hours until internet service was restored at home. Although, short bursts without it are fine. I tend to play my videogames, read books or watch movies. Sometimes I even find myself going out in the sunlight and meeting friends. 8O :P :^^:

Hay Carla, you and this thread have jinxed me. On Thursday night my computer died and I need a new power supply- at least that's what I think the problem is (I don't want it to be the Mobo).
Fortunately I'm covered by a 13 month warranty and have only had the unit for 5 months so the company is sending me out a new 650W supply which MUST be delivered Monday morning. Oh, yes, it must be here by then, the torrents I'm currently DLing demand it!
It's been weird using my parent's computer because the setup is so different, but I've been able to access all my emails via webmail so that is a big relief.
Plus I've been able to visit here so it's not a bad state to be in ;)

It's taught me not to push my computer so hard, I should turn it off for at least 1 afternoon every month :hurt: *heh*
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

Yeah that's right. Next question? If the unit for 5 months so the company is sending him or her out a new 650W supply which MUST be delivered Monday morning here by then the torrents he or she is currently DLing demand it is, then I'll be very surprised.

1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

i just lost my cell phone, which is another topic but equally frustrating... so i have been thinking alot about my need for certain technology.

for me, it might be a little different, because as an animation artist i make my career by my computer. all of the artwork i create professionally is digital (for the most part). so to think of going without a computer makes me cringe. basically, i wouldnt be able to work. X|
