Evangelion Cels

Hi all

During the ongoing animecelcollector silent auction, i never seen so much evangelion cels in one place. From there i start to gain some interest. Even though i didnt won any due to the affect its difficult to suddenly stack $300 above of other auction i bidded on.

Ive collect a lot of asuka and rei garage kits. But I know from history that i cant even afford a cel due to extremely high price without knowing the reason why. I would be happy if anyone here can give me a lesson or experience of recent evangelion cel prices. Are the prices more expensive or fluctuating over time?

I don’t collect it myself, but having watched them in cel auctions, I would have to say that, although there is fluctuation, the overall price trend is down. Though not cheap by any means, I am sure that the bids received in that silent auction were nowhere near his costs.

It used to be an event when a real, production, Eva cel showed up, but now they appear pretty regularly on Mandy, ebay, and Yahoo Japan.

Anything with exposed breasts is still rather pricey. And, even clothed, the girl characters sell for a lot more than the guys…

Just saw this thread....nice to be thought of as the It guy to goto on EVA stuff.......now wheather thats fair or not is hard to say

Thanks for the replies, Silvrdrago was actually the first guy i pm on evangelion cel inquiry. He got the nicest collection i come upon in rubberslug.

Yep, im sure the bids on animecelcollector was way below the actual price, so i think ill have to pay the price if i really want one.
