AWOL - Have You Seen These Missing Cels?(esp SMJ & YJ us

Post by Charon »

I've had luck with this before, so I'm really hoping that I have luck with this again. (Because full set-ups with backgrounds? Not so easy to replace :l)

Anyway, several lots of Tenshi ni Narumon cels I won off of Yahoo Japan never made it over to me. :bawl

So if anyone might have gotten them in their packages from Shopping Mall Japan or from the seller 'nyc925' off YJ and thought they were freebies...? Or if you see them pop up somewhere else... if at all possible I'd really like to recover the Raphael/Mikael setup. (And the Mama in bedroom, but especially the Raph/Mika that I'd previously screengrabbed for my wishlist several years ago.)

Thanks for your time!

(Anyone else with missing cels, feel free to pile into this thread too!)

I think I do.

Tell me more. Thanks and you are a delightful person too. Am I a tease? Sometimes.

Those are some lovely set-ups. I hope they're found and returned to you safely. :O

Thanks vampyreshoujo! I think it'd be better if at least someone ended up with them (preferably that someone being me :emb) rather then them being forever lost in the mail system.

Sensei stares at his Noelle UFO doll and repeats "Commmme to mmmmmee ... Commmmme to mmmmmmee!"

All seriousness aside, I hope you come across these soon. They are very pretty, as usual with any Studio Pierrot setup, and I'd love to see them go up in your gallery. Does Nick have any ideas? I once (just once) had an item get crossed with another that was due to another buyer, and we had to exchange. But it's very frustrating to win something and be this close to getting it, and then have something go snafu.

Trust me, if they do come to me (and they weren't in the SMJ box that came last week), I'll let you know.

Whoops, never got a notification about this reply! Anyway, thanks Sensei!

But no, they'd been stuck in transit from Japan to the USA for 2 months and at this point they're not even sure that they ever got the cels from the seller (although the seller says he sent them out). So all I can do is wait and hope that they turn up eventually.

I had my order mixed up before waaaay back when Anime Taro was holding their closing out sales, and someone recognized the missing cel through a post like this, so here's hoping!

Those are pretty! Why do I always seem to miss these auctions? :P

Seriously, though, I hope they get to you. Once I won a set of cel backgrounds, and SMJ billed me for it, but I never got them. Still annoys me to this day.

I truly believe the seller did send them out. I had lost the ralph/mik and the papa ones (now I know who too, lol) but had won a few others the seller had up. My deputy has received the ones I had won from the seller long ago. So more than likely if SMJ never received them they were lost in transit. I do hope they find their way to you, saddens me as well knowing they are lost. :l

:sweatdrop Cloud, I had to google what 'Loebner prize' was.

Thanks sugarcels! I might have been better off not seeing them either, then at least I wouldn't know what I was missing! Usually SMJ gives refunds if something goes missing in-transit, although it's still painful when it's something one-of-a-kind like a cel.

Ah, thanks otakusin. I think at this point the best thing to hope for is they got mixed up with other cels from the same seller sold at the same time. But yeah, while there may be sequence mates for some of these, if they're lost than the matching backgrounds for the whole sequence/scenes have gone with them for good. :bawl
