I've shown probably between 128-256 people... Image

I usually show my friends some sketches or Cels that they are interested in. Especially if it's from Anime they like.

I also carry a bunch of my favorite cels and sketches to conventions and hope to get them signed or show them to people so maybe they might get hooked on cel collecting also!

Well, I guess one to four people - maybe five but I'm not sure. There's my parents, a friend of mine (because I bought her some cels some years ago), and my brother in law who saw some of my cels on display in my room. Nobody has ever expressed much interest so I don't really bring it up. I don't take them with me anywhere, either.

This, of course, is not counting online ;)

Not counting showing people online . . .

My family, a few cel collectors (3?), and my roommate. That's it.

I've shown around 1-4 people. Mainly my family. Not alot of my firends are into anime so I figure they wouldn't be intrested in the cels. :(

When I was a sophmore in highschool, I brought the two cels I had at the time for digital graphics as an example for the teacher. We were doing the animation segment of the class and she didn't own any cels.

She had a severe hatred for anime though and would talk badly about it when she could. She couldnt get ahold of a disney cel because they do "real animation" at the time so she made do with the cels I had. After Spirited Away was nominated for some award in the US she then LOVED miyazaki and made a segment all about anime in her class. She died 4 years later. Image

I guess I'm in the 1-4 group. Hubby, art teacher, sister.... I think that's about it. No one I know is really interested in anime or cel/sketch collecting. :(

From the hundreds of people I've shown my cels and sketches to, the ones who really got excited actually drew themselves and were good artists.

They like graphic design, good art, or are very creative themselves.

Back in high school, I've won Best of Show in my highschool art show and I custom design jewelry... So I do love good art.

Most people I show my sketches and Cels to ask if I drew them. Image If only I was that good.

I don't show them often in hard copy. The only reason I went as high as I did was because I brought cel books twice to Otakon and had lots of people thumb through them, either after the panels or during the Slugfest East events. I also took a couple of books to my campus "Community Day" and had quite a few small children flip through them. (The Tenshi ni Narumon cels were, I recall, the most avidly admired by teenies, who had an engaging habit of gently patting the ones they liked a lot.)

But it's true that with my online gallery at 40K hits and counting up (and they can't ALL be me doing maintenance work during Lent) that many more people have seen the scans than have seen the cels.

That sounds like my husband. I will show him a new cel, and his reaction is always to put his hand on it! *cringe* /omg

I'm always telling him to stop poking Sasuke! :hitting:

I'm in the 12-36 range I guess. My family and best friend have seen them, a number of collectors I used to watch anime with, and then the times I've brought books to cons. Oh, and a post office worker has seen a couple.

I'm in the 1-4 category....

There's my little sister and brother....(Showed them, and bought them sketches from FMA and Host Club ^_^)

And my friend (which sees all of my new stuff BEFORE I add it to rubberslug) but since she's been busy, so she has not been able to see my new stuff..so I have not added it.....

No one else is allowed to see it (Besides people ONLINE :P ) (and I won't carry it around since I'm afraid some SOB may mess with it or touch it  ) That has happened to stuff I have drawn, and darn people touch it with their dirty hands (after they eat CHEETOS and so forth)...All the nice things I own are broken or people just don't give a dam... 1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I don't carry mine around at all, so only a few people have seen them.

I'd say 3-4.
